  1. Oh yeah, the Blue Jays. Thanks.
  2. 'Beeks'- sounds like he should be pitching for the Orioles or the Cardinals.
  3. Having said that, the SOX BP has been throwing a lot of 7's so far this year.
  4. Matt's been darn good out of the BP so far this year.
  5. Except for a few exceptions in the league, when a manager goes to his BP, it's a crap shoot.
  6. Poyner threw nothing but strikes. Nice job.
  7. Great play on both ends. Definitely a marked improvement in Devers' defense.
  8. Is it 'lapper' or 'laugher'?
  9. Note to SOX opposing pitchers: If you don't have your 'A' stuff, call in sick.
  10. Nice piece of hitting by Mr Travis.
  11. There's 30 teams in MLB. It's obvious there's not enough good pitchers to man these 30 teams. It's the same in pro football, basketball, and hockey. Every big city wants a pro team, but the simple truth is there's just not enough talent out there. We SOX fans complain because the SOX are having an issue with a #5 starter. Many teams are lucky to have 2 good starters. The Tigers are a prime example.
  12. Last year Barnes wouldn't have gotten out of that. He's been a much better reliever this year.
  13. After that inning Barnes won't be available again until Saturday.
  14. Buck Farmer. Is that a money crop?
  15. Earl Weaver would have referred to Humbree as a 2 pack reliever.
  16. I believe Dewey holds the record for most different stances at the plate in a career.
  17. Beni and the Betts. The Gold Dust Twins redux.
  18. And POM POMS are what you'll get in return right now.
  19. Whoa there. I don't believe anyone honestly thought Wright would pitch SO ball for 7 innings. I was surprised. I wasn't dissing Wright. In fact, I've been praising his work in the BP for quite awhile.
  20. I believe in 2006 the Cards won the WS after finishing the season 4 games over .500.
