    It's been mentioned that it might be a good idea to bring Lin up to play 2nd. I agree. However, who do the SOX move to open a spot for him?

    I don't really know how important this is in the scheme of things, but the SOX have played 10 more away games than the Yankems at this point.

    Before the shift became so prevalent, many batters with 2 strikes would cut down their swing and just make contact. With the shift in play those same batters are still trying to smash the ball over the shift.

    I think the shift more than any other reason has caused strike outs to escalate.

    If it was destined that SOX were only going to win one game in this series, then winning on get away day is probably the best game to win. Hopefully, today's momentum will carry over to Fenway.
