  1. Speaking of Price; he actually did quite well out of the BP in last year's post season.
  2. I'm guessing it's better than Price's.
  3. You left off the Shite Sox, who, I believe, would fall somewhere between the awful and the abysmal.
  4. The worst pitch call I can remember occurred a few years ago and it involved David Ortiz and the Yankems, of course. In a close game with the Yankems leading, Ortiz was up as the tying run, I believe. With a 3-2 count the pitcher threw a pitch that was low and outside, not even close to a strike, and the F'ing ump called it a strike to end the game. I always wondered how Ortiz didn't end up strangling the ump.
  5. The best and shortest way to describe JD is that he's a sane version of Manny.
  6. I think the moral of this story is shut down Johnson after 6. Getting 6 from the #5/6 starter is completely acceptable.
  7. If the SOX just play .500 ball the rest of the way, they will have 103.5 wins.
  8. Check your airbags.
  9. Baseball wise, Pillar and JBJ are the same player.
  10. Kelly in the 9th. Fasten your seat belts.
  11. Kudos again to DD.
  12. Btw, the 3 runs given up by Johnson in the 7th s/b charged to Cora.
  13. Imho, when one combines power and batting average, JD, at this point in the season, is the best hitter in baseball. I don't know how anyone could argue that.
  14. Agreed. Actually, there should have been someone up at the beginning of the inning. Cora, asleep at the wheel, left himself no options after there were two runners on. Have to call it what it was; bad managing.
  15. Oh, well. Don't understand why Cora didn't have someone warming earlier. Cora still suffering from late on the draw.
  16. SOX SP since all-star break have a 1.84 ERA.
  17. Jays pitchers should sue for non-support.
  18. Yankems now leading the Shite Sox 6-2 after Stanton GS.
  19. I tried. He won't take my calls.
  20. What's not to like? He works fast and throws strikes. I think he's moved up to #5. POM would be #6.
  21. I'd bring Johnson back for the 7th.
  22. Did Johnson come up thru the SOX organization?
  23. If there's such a thing as a perfect swing, Beni has it.
