    I don't know, but no matter what he's doing in the booth, he sucks at all of them. When one combines Singleton's ineptness with Paul O'Neil's squeaky voice, the mute button is a necessity.

    Unfortunately, the Yankems are beating the Jays 7-3 after 4. Ken Singleton(simpleton) is providing the play-by-play, which he does when Mary Kay doesn't feel like doing a particular road series. Singleton is the Capt. Obvious of sports announcers. He may be the worst in the league. He presents himself behind the mike as a complete idiot. There, now I feel better.

    Here's a moving Williams story. Years ago Ted went to a Boston hospital to visit children dying of cancer. One of the children Ted visited grabbed his hand and wouldn't let go. Ted asked the nurse if she had a cot he could use and he spent the night at the hospital holding the child's hand. Ted was upset when this episode went public because he never wanted these trips to the hospital to ever be made public. He was a very complicated human being, but he loved children, and, as we all know, he hated most sports writers.
