  1. I know triple-A stats don't always equate in the big show, but 98 is 98 no matter where one is pitching.
  2. Nice 1st impression, Mr. Brasier.
  3. He had a 1.34 ERA in 40 relief innings for PAW. Hasn't pitched in the majors since 2013. SOX got him from the Angels.
  4. Another excellent team effort. Btw, Sandy was great behind the plate. And Pearce definitely lengthens this SOX line-up.
  5. True, but it's a gamble losing JD's bat in the line-up.
  6. Pardon my ignorance, but if Betts replaces JD in RF, is JD allowed to become the DH?
  7. Even with 2 strikes JD has the advantage over the pitcher.
  8. Jim Dandy. I was wrong. Screw defensive replacement.
  9. 98 to 89. If the batter isn't guessing, he''s in trouble. But he better guess right.
  10. JBJ should be back in center. Betts in RF. C'mon, Cora, I know you can do it.
  11. I believe Cora ascribes to the 'not over-managing' philosophy. That's the only explanation I can come up with.
  12. I wonder if Cora is aware of the defensive replacement rule.
  13. Nice using your head play by Devers.
  14. Actually, I hope Severino does start and throws about 40 pitches.
  15. The ASG means absolutely nothing, so who cares who starts the game?
  16. Sometimes one has to give credit to the opposing pitcher. Minor has good stuff. I'm sure the SOX wouldn't mind having him.
  17. I saw Britton relieve today and that slider he possesses is nasty. Man, what a get he would be.
  18. Until the umps widen the plate this will remain the pattern.
