    Btw, as most of you already know, that 2001 Seattle club didn't make it to the WS. To further the point, the 2006 Cards won 83 games and won the WS.

    Most wins in the regular MLB season is shared by the 1906 Cubs (116-36) and the 2001 Mariners (116-46). To break that record the SOX would have to finish at 54-16; a winning percentage of .771.

    He had a 1.34 ERA in 40 relief innings for PAW. Hasn't pitched in the majors since 2013. SOX got him from the Angels.
