  1. Please stay as long as possible, Eovaldi. Hopefully 7 innings.
  2. One of my worst predictions this year was believing Kinsler would be a help offensively. I was totally WRONG. Holt could bat RH in these games and do no worse. Again, I don't blame Kinsler, I blame Cora.
  3. Btw, in future games in this series, please, Cora, have Pearce bat 3rd or clean-up.
  4. Since Pearce has joined the SOX, he has been terrific. He gives you good at bats.
  5. Credit where credit's due. Nice defensive inning by Nunez.
  6. Can you imagine how difficult it is to pitch in a ML ballgame and then have your manager instruct you not to let the opposing batters hit anything towards 3rd base? That's too much to ask of any pitcher. It would be easier to just acquire a real 3rd baseman.
  7. Eovaldi has to keep the Astros from hitting the ball towards 3rd base.
  8. The batters 6-9 against LH's is the Grand Canyon. Seriously, could Holt and Devers be worse?
  9. I'm guessing POR will be available again today if needed.
  10. Note to Sheffield who favors Astros because of home field: Hey, knucklehead, did you notice the Astros home record during the regular season?
  11. Eovaldi's success against the Yankems was based on his high fastball that the Yankem batters were trying to hit for HR's. Based on swing angle, that favored Eovaldi. The Astros, like the SOX, are not going to be swinging for the fences, which doesn't favor Eovaldi.
  12. Don't know how this will play in the ALCS, but the Astros were a much better team on the road than at home during the regular season.
  13. The NHL uses the 2-2-1-1-1 PO schedule.
  14. WTF, Love Price or hate him, he's ours for 3 more years:(
  15. Great work by Barnes, Brasier, and POR.
  16. This was the 1st game Price started in the P/O's where his team didn't lose. Btw, pitching 4.2 innings and giving up 4 runs isn't close to a good start, no matter how one wants to spin it.
  17. When Kimbrel was pitching to Gattis, it looked like 2/3's of ZZ TOP.
  18. Naw, tonight's game won't deter Cora from starting him again.
  19. Well, Kinsler did escape getting a Golden Sombrero tonight. Got to look on the bright side.
  20. Looks like the SOX found a good set-up reliever.
  21. Pearce will make it easier to get rid of Mitch next season.
  22. It wasn't because Pedro told them to; it was because they're so happy to know he will be with the SOX for 3 more years.
  23. I believe the 10th man award this year for the SOX should go to the wild pitch. I'm pretty sure the SOX must lead the league in scoring on wild pitches.
  24. Depending on what Barnes does, Price could still get the loss.
  25. What Springer did with that inside pitch is what hot hitters do.
