  1. Happ is nothing more than an average starter. Nothing special.
  2. The solo HR parade continues.
  3. The SOX will have to come up with some big bucks to hold on to Devers.
  4. Devers' HR would have been a homer anywhere.
  5. Note to Beni and JBJ: No reason to go opposite field in that right field sandbox.
  6. Not exactly a line-up that reflects a luxury tax.
  7. C. Sale 1-6 4.19ERA vs J. Happ 4-3 5.09ERA Need a 3 game sweep. "It's getting late early." Yogi Berra
  8. C. Sale 1-6 4.19ERA vs J. Happ 4-3 5.09ERA Need 7 strong innings from Sale. I think everyone knows why. Weather permitting.
  9. Tito still has to deal with 2011.
  10. The SOX spending pattern is similar to a person buying an expensive stereo system. The money spent for the offense and starting pitching would be similar to the money a person would spend on the expensive electronics(pre-amp, amp, turntable, cd player) and the large pair of expensive full-range speakers. That brings us to the BP. That would be similar to the person having spent most of his/her money on the stereo system, now has to get his warped, scratched records at GW.
  11. Cleveland was due to get out of their hitting woes.
  12. That was Devers doing his impersonation of Pete Townshend.
  13. I was watching part of the Yankem game earlier. Hard to believe but Chad Green has worse stats as a reliever than anyone in the SOX BP. The difference is the Yankems don't have as many bad relievers as the SOX.
  14. It'll probably take a few years before Cora realizes that his 1st year of managing was based more on good fortune than on good managing.
  15. If this Josh doesn't work out, I'm sure the SOX have more Josh's.
  16. Josh Taylor? Didn't the SOX already have a Josh in the pen?
  17. Good news and bad news in one post.
  18. Actually, he's not even a kid.
  19. I'm pretty sure the SOX must lead the league in solo HR's.
  20. Well, he did enter the game with a 1.27 ERA. Hard to rag on a guy with a 1.27 ERA.
  21. Usually Weber grills last longer than this.
  22. And for how long before he's on the IL again. Always a gamble when one buys damaged goods.
  23. The dipshit ump was squeezing Weber but not Justin.
  24. Well, Weber still beats having a pitcher getting millions with a balsa wood arm.
  25. If the SOX really wanted to accommodate the Bruins and their fans, this game should have started at 4:10.
