    If what you say is true(who knows?), then there's no point in chasing Cole. Just enjoy the excitement of challenging the O's for last place.

    If, and it's a big IF, Sale and Price can come back healthy next season and stay healthy and they do acquire Cole, that would be a top starting staff. The SOX would definitely be competitive even w/o Betts and JD.

    I don't know Vegas; to lose 20 one would have to stay mostly healthy.

    If WOJO pitched for the SOX, he couldn't pitch against the SOX. If you can't beat him, have him join ya.

    The Ray's season salary is 60 million. That's only about 8 million more than what the SOX pay Sale and Price.

    I believe WOJO shut the SOX out for 7 innings with 1 hit his last start against them. Like I said earlier, he owns us.

    I've got no problem with the SOX trading Betts and JD, if the money saved allows them to go after a front line starter. As we all found out this year, offense with little pitching puts the SOX where they are right now. Btw, someone will have to replace Porcello and it might be beneficial to obtain someone better.

    Besides the players the SOX can't get rid of (Sale, Price, and EO), I believe the SOX will definitely keep X-man, Devers, Beni, VAZ, Barnes, D-hern and Workman. It's a crapshoot concerning the others.

    What a few of the SOX players lack in bat prowess they make up for with lack of speed.

    Based on his 5.31ERA it doesn't appear he owns anyone else.

    Interesting stat. The 3 big starters for the Astros all have ERA's under 3 and all have WHIPS under 1.

    Thanks for the info. It does makes sense they would check that when a pitcher's W/L doesn't match up with his other stats.

    One of the stats that the CY YOUNG voters don't look at is how many runs does the pitcher's team score when he's on the mound.

    It's quite possible that 3 of the top 5 vote getters for the CY YOUNG will come from the Astros. And it's very possible that our potential 20 game winner won't finish in the top 5 even if he does get 20.
