  1. Right now Devers is a line drive hitter who will hit his share of HR's. In that regard he is similar to Pujols.
  2. Sogard peaked late, while Beni peaked early.
  3. Just checked. Sogard is 33. But the SOX need pitching, so Sogard won't help there.
  4. JBJ is half-way to the HOF. Unfortunately, the other half is his offense.
  5. If the SOX packaged JD and Beni together, they could probably land a damn good starter.
  6. It would be sad if Weber has already unpacked.
  7. They could probably get a Cashner-like pitcher for him.
  8. In defense of the SOX pitching coach, it's really difficult to polish a turd.
  9. 10-4. That's been a popular score in these two games.
  10. I've still been binging on JUSTIFIED. It ran for 6 seasons and every season was fantastic.
  11. The BJ's are last in MLB in BA. You'd never know that when they play Boston.
  12. Prior to the mid-'70's about the only two pitchers SOX fans spoke about were Parnell and Radatz. But, also, there was that one great year in '67 by Lonborg, before he f***ed himself up skiing.
  13. With this current staff it seems to be needed most every game.
  14. Isn't it funny that when a lot of us speak about post WWII RED SOX, it's mainly about hitters and not pitchers. Has any team during that period of time had fewer great pitchers than the SOX?
  15. I like the 'good arm' part. Maybe he can pitch.
  16. The SOX are averaging over 5.5 runs per game, which is just a hair lower than the Twins, who lead MLB.
  17. How does another power bat improve the real weakness of this team; pitching?
  18. Just checked some team stats. My research has discovered that the Twins have the best offense in MLB as of today.
