  1. Yup. If you have a great curve ball and don't throw too many hangers, you can become very rich.
  2. At this point, Dalbec's approach s/b to get in the batter's box and just look for one pitch in one location. If that pitch is thrown, great. If it isn't, well it can't be any worse than it is now.
  3. I'm guessing Dalbec has never seen a curve like that in his whole baseball career. This is not a defense of Bobby, because he's also struck out a ton against pitchers with far lesser stuff.
  4. Perez has the SOX only win against the A-holes; you might want to give him a break.
  5. Just hitting the ball extremely hard still isn't good enough. That's why a batter can fail 7 out of 10 times and still be a multi-milionaire.
  6. Funny how things change so quickly. I remember when many of us loved Workman and hated Barnes. Not that long ago.
  7. Reynolds had a fairly long career with that job description. Maybe Dalbec will, also.
  8. Dalbec reminds me of Mark Reynolds. Either a HR or nothing.
  9. He really did. Maybe Workman can give the SOX 3. The less the other relievers are used, the better chance of a win tomorrow.
  10. Yup, that's probably the nastiest curve the SOX will see this year. Too bad this guy was scheduled to pitch in this series. The SOX did miss Cole in the last series. Can't be lucky all the time.
  11. It appears JD has misplaced his launch angle.
  12. When you're going against a very good pitcher, wear the baggiest pants and jersey you can find.
  13. "Houston, we've got a problem and the problem's name is Houston."
  14. Catchers are the only baseball players who would stand any chance of surviving in hockey.
  15. Of course, they've had 10 innings to solve it and nothing learned. Maybe I should send an e-mail to the dugout.
  16. Valdez's curve is nasty, but very seldom a strike. Maybe the SOX batters can figure that out.
  17. If they hit good pitching, it wouldn't be good pitching. It is confusing.
  18. Good news about Sale. Sadly, there probably won't be a spot for him on this current starting staff. Just kidding.
  19. Wel, that's gonna leave a dent in Martin's ERA.
  20. Well, that's good to know. A good way to start a comeback.
  21. Btw, Gorman did beat Joe West in a race to 1st base.
  22. ML chUMPS are similar to supreme court justices; they wear the black until they die.
  23. Astros' W/L record is very deceiving. Probably by the ASB it won't be deceiving any longer.
  24. Perez was due for a bad start. He's been pitching above his Peter Principle most of the season. And for that, I thank him.
