Sorry... This is pretty funny. I haven't read what started this brew haha, but THIS is funny. Now, can Slasher be an insufferable *******? Sure. But it's also tough to trust Tricky Dick?? Whatever the case in this dustup, Price is most definitely a MAJOR pain in the arss. Not withstanding my above RANT, I for the most part appreciate this point of view. Even though I hated the contract & giving away the key up & coming prospect, it was clear we needed pitching in the worst way after letting go Lester, Lackey, & others. So, I was reluctantly happy to be getting an 'ace.' A good pitcher at the very least. Unfortunately, the deal turns out to be so much worse than ever anticipated..... Hence . . . . Let the 'WHINE-FEST' begin! Get it out of our systems, & move on . . .

Of course should, & for good reason. The Sox blew their wad in signing this 'ace' to an historic SP contract. Many of us lost our minds, arguing that a Price contract was insanely overpriced, and that he was already in decline. We knew this latest INSANE contract was terrible on numerous fronts. Not only were we getting a grossly overpriced SP in decline, but we were also giving away an almost guaranteed up & coming SOON TO BE All-Star, and blowing up yearly payrolls for years to come. Turns out it's been far worse than the ney-sayers even dreamed. We knew he wasn't a reliable ace, but even we could not imagine that he'd so quickly become a SHYTE #5. Secondarily, but equally important, it's ALWAYS SOMETHING with this guy. The excuse making never stops with this guy. It's one nebulous 'injury' after another..... Add to all this, Price's negative attitudes toward Boston, Boston fans, Boston Sports Media, et al., and it seems clear we've busted the budget for SHYTE malcontent excuse making guy in decline. *** So, does this justify a 'whine-fest' thread about Price? HELL YEH IT DOES!!! Am I still hoping he pulls a FULL John Lackey comeback? Of course!! ! Will we root like hell for him at every return? Hell yeh!!!! All while reserving the right to 'BITCH' a bit about the never ending ******** with this guy??? YEP! Sorry! Gotta have an outlet. Just how we deal with s*** contracts.

Yes. Vaz & Sandy SUCK right now, but I have ZERO faith in Swi! As someone put it, he's the 3rd best option at any position you could think of. I'm not convinced he'd out hit Vaz over a full season.

btw Marcus Smart won the game down that stretch. The follow put in, then the AMAZING D, where he takes a HUGE charge, it's not called, C's get the ball when Smart is leveled & it bounces away, the C's go ahead by THE CRITICAL 2. The most important 4 pt swing, all because of Smart.
