Any chance we package Swi, with anybody & take a run at Machado? I know it sounds far fetched, but Baltimore is out of it. Swi could help in RF & backup catcher? Package him with something & go for it. Machado is gone next year, but if they dump him now, ticket sales s*** the bed. I get that. But perhaps we package & make an early run? I know it's a long shot, but I just don't think Devers can handle 3rd all season??? He needs time to season. 2% chance?

What's your final line on him for the year? I say he hits... Close to .300+, .400 obp, .475+ slgl, circa .900 OPS 20 HR +/- 2 85+ rbi's 90+ runs scored I think there is also a real chance that he heats up soon, & these numbers go a bit higher? I love the kids bat. I hate him in CF, but he is acceptable. Honestly, I'd rather see Mookie in CF when JDM plays, and put Beni in RF? Still has trouble on the basepaths, but sees some daylight from his arss.

Most here are hopeful that the Sox have what it takes to hang near the Yanks, but are becoming frustrated with the mediocre baseball we've been playing the last 20+ games. Simple as that. Some are freaking out far too often, but others have some pretty reasonable concerns. JBJ, Vaz, & Devers are legit concerns. All 3 are contributing to this mediocre run. All 3 should hopefully start to turn it around soon. I hope. Beni's continued dipshit baserunning. If these 3 don't turn it around, guys are going to continue to vent on them. It's as simple as that. We still get a Wildcard in my mind, but it could get rough if our pitching doesn't return. Yes. We all need to calm down a bit though. It's not near as bad or ugly as it's looked lately. We will go on another run.

Perhaps if you weren't such an angry arrogant bastard, who can't handle opinions from guys who know baseball & have actually PLAYED THE GAME at a high level? There is also this, there are lies, damned lies, and statistics. You tend to use a good deal of tortured statistics, often to defend what even the layman can see is just ********. Other times, your stats match reality. You definitely know your stuff. Major props!!!! Seriously! The problem, my friend, as is often the case with statisticians, is that they are arrogant picks who can't tolerate being contradicted. They falsely assume that their stats are infallible. They forget that there is major human error built into the NUMBERS they completely rely on. They forget the "garbage in - garbage out" axiom, and defend the numbers as though they are infallible. Worse.... They become arrogant pricks, completely intolerant of ANY contrary opinions. They call people "*******s," simply for having the nerve to disagree with them..... Time to lighten up a bit? Be a bit more tolerant of lesser men (in your mind)?
