    I can only assume that you guys are seeing a different set of replays, because the A's feed was BEYOND conclusive. Before the A-holes in the booth called it, they said SAFE.

    As an ump on the spot, given the way the game is called on a GREAT THROW, I would have called him out...... On the replay? There was ABSOLUTELY ZERO DOUBT that he was safe! SAFE by a replay mile.... Which if course translates to safe by a 1/2 second, which is an eternity in replay.

    The guys were so much more loose today. Except for Sale. Watched him walk right up next to me in front of his hotel, & I couldn't think of a damn thing to say, so I shut my mouth. All the other guys were LOOSE. 8 autographs to my son. GREAT DAY! So much fun! What an ending!

    Well boys, the boys just left their hotel in Seattle for Safeco / T-mobile. THE BOYS ARE LOCKED IN. Saw Benny, Deavers, & Nunez in the Starbucks at the bottom of the hotel. No autographs as per usual. Saw all the rest outside, but They ALL got hopped right on the bus without a second look. LOVKED & LOADED! They look ready to play. Can't wait! Headed over by the ballfield. NO CHANCE of getting Sale's autograph, but we will give it the old college try. Play Ball!

    That sounds & feels right. We have not done well there in the last several years. Still it is a GREAT PLACE to see a Sox series! Had our honeymoon there almost 13 years ago.... Planned by my now wife. Secured our eventual marriage during the EPIC 2004 series, specifically during the game 4 ALCS. Better & concurrent story to Fever Pitch, but it was still a GREAT movie! 15+ years later, we never miss a Red Sox series, but they are bit tamer when we take our 12 year old. What a GREAT city when the Sox are in town. You would swear that you are in Boston, as the City is completely jumping with Red Sox fans EVERYWHERE! Very hospitable territory too. Nice people. In fairness to other cities, I'm not sure they really know that we're there, as most are stoned to the gills. Anyway, it is a total blast! My wife, the cute one in the family, has secured almost every RS player autograph over the past 15 years. Yeh, I stay out of sight. Whatever, it works. If you can ever make it, it is well worth the trip! dirtdog

    I like Holt at 2nd. Hope for Pedey to come back. Kinsley gone, and we look for a utility IF guy internally. I think having JD as a guy who plays in the OF several times a week to give guys rest is the best of all worlds. It keeps these guys rested, & works to help out with INEVITABLE injury in the OF. It keeps him sharp for NL games & the world series next year. I love having SP back next year, sharing duties with Mooreland. I wish they would work JD out all off season at 1st, making JD the ultimate OF / IF / DH SUPER-UTILITY mega-star!

    Went to the game in Portland OR on Sunday with my boys. The only 2 guys not out there warming up for the first half hour? Kyrie & Hayward. Hayward shows up, but doesn't mingle much. He did work out hard, & was one of the last to stay. Kyrie? Never showed. Never warmed up . . . NOW..... Kyrie talks AFTER the game, & it's getting big headlines. "Kyrie is keeping it real! Telling it like it is.... Calling out 'the team' for underperforming. For not meshing well...." yadda yadda yadda. REALLY? Ya think there's a problem with 'the team' not meshing?

    And the worst part? He can opt out after the 2nd & 3rd years.... Unless we plan on him injuring himself winning the 2019 WSC, I like the idea of floating him AT LEAST a guarantee on the 4th & 5th year, plus 2 more. Perhaps at a reduced rate on yrs 6 & 7.

    How old was Papi in his last year? Assuming his injury is nothing too serious, I don't see any reason why I don't gamble on JD having a great career here in Boston through age 37. Especially if he is primarily DH'ing?

    If I'm the Sox, I offer an extension of 72 mill for the first 3 years, & add 4 years at an average of 22 million. $154 million total, 7 years. Any reason that couldn't happen?

    Taking the WSC trophy to Puerto Rico is yet another great decision in this GREAT Red Sox year.

    Absolutely! Bottom line..... SO MANY deserved a share of MVP! Pearce absolutely deserved it! Kelly absolutely deserved it!!! Price absolutely deserved it! Eovaldi absolutely deserved it! HELL .... Most nights, the spark plug time & time again was Holt. He deserved it! Game 1, Nunez deserved it. The much maligned BP stepped up! All of them. Every PH'r stepped up! Game 4, Mooreland pulled our arsses out of the fire! Hell, without Nuner & Mooreland, we are going to game 7.... I could go on & on. This whole damned team DESERVES this WSC! Guys just kept stepping up when we needed them down the stretch. Arguably, our big 4 were GOOD, but NOT great. BUT! Without them, we don't even making it to the WS! It is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING that our #1 ACE was virtually sidelined, but guys like Eovaldi stepped up? Price FINALLY remembered that HE IS AN ACE. (p.s. say bye bye to him now). We barely knew ya Price. :'( WHAT A TEAM victory! Pretty awesome that they ALL deserve a piece of this!

    I completely agree! I was PRAYING Price would end it by bringing that ********** to his knees! BEST WSC ending EVER!
