They probably do have that goal. It doesn't take a whole lot to win that Division.

I don't know about that. Every case is different. I think money is always the big factor. But most players do want to win now. As it stands, the teams that do offer big money are usually the same teams that are looking to win now .

The Sox had a winning formula, but they decided it was too expensive and wasn't " sustainable ", so they decided to change it. Now, they are still trying to figure out what is best. And the fans are confused and disgruntled.

When you think about it, this might be the best time for Henry to sell the whole Fenway Sports package. The profit may never be greater than right now. He is not getting any younger, so maybe he should sell and spend the rest of his privileged life sailing the seas on his upgraded yacht.

The Yankees are expecting Dominguez , their top prospect, back at some point . That will give them more options.

The Yankees were seriously lacking in left handed hitting. Soto, and to a lesser degree, Verdugo will certainly help in that area. It will be interesting to see if they can sign Soto longer term.

We may never know all the details, but Verdugo obviously had a falling out with Cora. Something like this trade seemed inevitable.
