There is not much to like about Jeff Bezos. However , it is a fact that Amazon does an outstanding job. They are 20 games ahead of whoever is in second place. -
MLB and the pencil neck geek commissioner demonstrating once again that they have neither the ability or the desire to do anything to generate and maintain fan enthusiasm for the game.

As far as the Renfroe for JBJ trade, only time will tell. Sometimes a change of scenery seems to help , and sometimes it seems to hurt. I don't know the reasons for that, but last year it seemed to help Renfroe and hurt JBJ. Hopefully,we will get the reverse this year. I will say this ; Kike Hernandez was not , is not and never will be as good a centerfielder as JBJ.

Calling fellow posters obnoxious, calling them names, urging for them to be ignored, pushing for them to be banned , insulting them and their opinions,etc. is kind of obnoxious, as far as I can see. But that's okay. I am not complaining. Everyone can do as they please. But you don't complain about a lot of what I consider truly objectionable. Why now? Anyway , who cares? And I don't need any feuds. It's a waste of time. I will continue to have my own opinions and my own sense of what is funny and what is obnoxious. Have a nice day.

It is a talk forum, but there is a little clique that wants to rule the roost. They see themselves as a little smarter than others. If you go against any of them , they will gang up on you. They can insult you , but don't dare call them out. Feel free to express your ideas and opinions, but be prepared for the derision and name calling if your opinion upsets the "elite " clique.

It doesn't cost a King's ransom to build up the bullpen. That is where the focus should be . But I'm not seeing it so far.

Actually, I think the Wacha deal might work out well. He has shown that he can be good. So, I have some hope here. I just get a kick out of how some devoted Bloom fans seem to take it personally whenever someone criticizes anything Chaim does or doesn't do.

Poke and hope. You poke around enough in the dumpster and you might find something good. It does sometimes happen . So , have hope.

Starters pitch more innings, but relievers appear in , and effect the outcome of , many more games. And for late relievers , it is usually in close games. The trend seems to be bigger staffs , more rest days and quicker hooks for starters . And more reliance on the bullpen.

It wouldn't be the off season without folks griping about how slow it is developing. Happens every year. In my opinion , the Sox don't need to do too much. The lineup is good , with or without Schwarber. Move one , if not both, of Whitlock and Houck to the rotation. Concentrate and spend the resources on strengthening the bullpen. This is where so many games are won or lost these days.

Just that baseball is losing appeal , especially to the younger generation. Not sure what the solution is.
