What's concerning about Houck, is he only walked 63 in 300 innings in College, he'll do that in 100 innings this year. Stop screwing with the kid.

Yanks play 57% of their games the rest of the season on the road. Reason it's important is their hitting splits between hitting at the Stadium and hitting on the Road. At Home. .261 avg. Road .236 avg. They also have to play 10 games in 9 days going into All-Star break, hope they over-work that BP. If there was a time to put a little separation, now is it.

No got to see Montero. But Bad news. Got there game started at 7, that OK got to see batting Practice. Chavis was cranking them out, but he's still far off on his timing, for game condition Pitching. I saw Chavis last year so he's off. Probably a Month, and with All Star break, he'll be even further behind. Now for this kid Montero, Holy Crap, this kid can Pitch. Hit 95 easily with nice easy Motion, Slider, needs work, but also has an excellent Change-up. Struck out 9 in 5.1 innings.....but now the Bad News, after he struck out his 9th batter, threw another strike, then called for Manager, they took him out, hope it just Pre Caution, but he was holding his arm. s***! Only 20 years old, and he was dealing. Talking to some Red Sox People you can do this in Minor League games, they had High hopes for him. Signed him last year, played in DSL, and held him out so he could face some tougher competition, in this Summer League. This stinks, hope it isn't serious, Sox lost on 2 Run HR in 10th. One last thing, nobody stuck out to me as hitters yet, but its early. Jonathan Ortega, looked the best to me, and played good Short. What I would do is put up a BS injury in there so he misses next start and All-Star game. Back injury?

If I were the Yanks all you need is Happ. Months of Aug. and Sept. he's 41-27 with a 3.40 ERA, almost gets stronger as season progresses. He does good in AL East too, not only does he pitch against the Sox, he pitches good against you too. Orioles he does good, just Tampa a little problem. Handles himself in Post-Season. Get him on your side down the stretch, so you don't face him, and wont cost too much in Prospects.

Just something to throw out there, if the Sox make this Sale's last start till All-Star Game break, he'll have 2 weeks rest. Were not playing the strongest of schedule right now. Would this be good idea? He'll come back on the 20th against Detroit.

At 28 years old Damon or Ellsbury would be starting over JBJ in CF.

Next 20 games Sox do not play a team .500 or better. Real easy part of schedule. Sept. is going to be the toughest Month, from here on out.

Agree, good pick-up, pissed about the Prospect we gave up. Dombrowski is giving away our Lower Level Prospects, like they are useless. Most all of our Prospects had to be moved, for the talent we got. Dombrowski is a slickster.

Sox have played more teams with a winning records in the last 30 days, and no team slumps. The rest of schedule is not that bad. Just keep grinding.
