  1. 6 2/3 innings. Love E-Rod, but he is basically a 20 pitch per inning Pitcher, and that has to improve. Getting to an age, where this is not good. Needs to go deeper to help team more.
  2. Denyi Reyes with another good game. 6 innings, 7 hits, 1 run, 0 BB's, 8 K's, now 8-3, with a ERA of 1.91. Last 30 days Bobby Dalbec is hitting .301, last 10 games, .432 Keep an eye on this little Lefty Reliever in Lowell, Mosqueda got his 1st save tonight.
  3. Thanks. What he needs to improve is that .239 avg. in Fenway. He should be clocking that wall. How many games has he won Offensively? Game winning hit, RBI, go ahead run. Don't want to get too much into this we just need patience.
  4. How many unearned runs have scored because of Devers errors? Stats with the word Run in it. You play Baseball to score and prevent Runs. Games actually lost, because of his errors. He needs to work on his footwork on throwing. Not impossible thing to do. Tonight will be his 146 Major League Game. Lets get back to this 300 games from now. He'll be 24 years old.
  5. Starters in the Post-Season go max 6 innings. That's the difference. Going BP is the smarter move in todays game. You get a Starter, he pitches, then for 4 days, contributes in no other game. Reliever can effect up to 3 games in that span. In the Play-offs a reliever effects more games, especially because its a short series than a Starter. This worries me about Cashman, he sees the importance of this. You will get a Starter, probably pretty cheap, but if invest in another dynamic Reliever, this is going to be a very scary team. If Tanaka comes back strong you might not even need a Starter. Move Gray to 5th spot, or German, against these bad teams both the Sox and Yanks face in 2nd half, most Starters are adequate, for the Season, both teams got. Dombrowski should be thinking this way, but he has no wiggle room, or not enough Proven Prospects.
  6. https://twitter.com/RedSox/status/1016145087657578497/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1016145087657578497&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bostonsportsjournal.com%2F2018%2F07%2F09%2Fbsj-daily-briefing-07-09-18-rip-frank-ramsey-red-sox-continue-thump-dregs%2F
  7. If it's not broke, don't fix it. Doing fine.
  8. Moustakas 2-13 over weekend, and they gave him a generous Official Score on Pearce hit Friday night, that to me looked like an error, that lead to 2 Runs. Had a HR that's it.
  9. I wouldn't use any KC stats, I would exclude them. Just pads stats, and you don't get a real evaluation of players. That's me though. Even Remy said looked like they were playing a Double AA team, not even Triple AAA.
  10. Minor is pitching much better in last Month and Half for Texas, after that, almost facing KC again. We miss Hamels. Staff pitches better on the road then at home, 3.80 era on the road, 5.32 at home.
  11. I see Stanton and Judge not in HR Derby, smart move. They ought to stop that stupid thing. Or just bring in the guys who can only swing for HRS, and don't care about average. It affected Sano too last year.
  12. Yes Ockimey has potential, saw the HR to Right Center, good power. Needs to make more consistent contact. The whole Portland team not very talented. Shawaryn didn't pitch bad, pretty good fast ball, had him as high as 93, just one bad inning. He's still pretty young at 23 for Double AA, so I think he will still improve. Strong 2nd half and he could be in Triple AAA next year. Chavis looked much better, last 2 at bats, hit the ball hard, no hits but solid contact. Salem had a no-hitter for 7 innings, Darwinzon Hernandez pitched 5.2 innings 10 K's, 5 BB's, 0 hits. Pimentel let it getaway, one third of an inning, 3 hits 4 runs. Salem still won. 7-4. Dalbec is up to .249, good sign. I'm starting to think there is more Lower level talent then were are giving credit for. IF Dombrowski don't get rid of it. Like Espinal. Trading for Pearce was good, giving away talent in the Lower Levels is not, if that's all you got. Dombrowski is slick. Espinal hit a HR yesterday. https://www.milb.com/salem/news/sox-slide-by-p-nats-7-4-sunday/c-284866640
  13. Crack me up, you think we're losing Carlton Fisk. What CV can do Leon can do, and Swihart will be OK.
  14. That was some good stuff by that Bulldog!
  15. Very good at bat by Nunez.
  16. Put the pedal to the metal against these guys.
  17. Went to Portland game today Chavis looked much better, no hits, but hit the ball hard and had only 1 K.
  18. Move him over at least to 3rd.
  19. Yanks only used 4 Pitchers, Damn.
  20. Yanks play 2 tomorrow, was hoping the would go 13+ innings to kill that BP, even in a loss for Toronto that's a win for us.
  21. Good to see you Hugh, kid down in Greenville, Reyes we should keep an eye on too. And Crawford too. By the way Houck had a nice outing last night, he has been pitching much better the last Month. Last 30 days Opponents are hitting .208 against him. It's his control, and walks that are hurting him. Last night 7 innings 2 BB's, 5 K's, 1 Run, 4 hits. His ERA is down under 5 now. Work in progress and patience. Progress as season goes, that's important. By the way have you gone to new Park in Hartford? I know you went a lot to the New Britain Park. Only 10 minutes difference for me. Its beautiful. Yard Goats got a SS that is real good, should go see him. Brendan Rodgers, think he's in the Futures Game, SS of the future, for the Rockies. Senators got a real stud coming up at SS Kieboom. Probably move Turner to 2nd.
