  1. Maybe Sox would have better record. Also could go other way.
  2. You really think it would be?
  3. Oh, my Grandson explained it to me. hahaha
  4. What's that mean.
  5. Since July Sox are 45-17 when Leon is starting Catcher.
  6. Carlos Correa Back Injury has hurt him big time this year. He was up there too, as one of the young studs at SS. Since AS break he is hitting .163. Astros are really dangerous when he is healthy.
  7. He's turned into a quiet leader too. Very underrated in that aspect. Another quality Lindor has too.
  8. You got to make your move now Yanks, while your playing Toronto, and Oakland is playing Tampa. For the Rays, they have to play like every game is a Play-off game this weekend. Last chance to maybe get back in it.
  9. Looking at all the Play-off teams we might face, only Cleveland runs. Yanks, Oakland, Houston, don't run. Cleveland might be eliminated by Houston. So wouldn't worry about other Opponents stealing this Off-Season. at this point.
  10. Sandy Leon has a 3.23 Catchers ERA, the lowest for a Qualifying Catcher since 1974. - Sean McAdam Like he said, amazing for all the Great Pitchers that Varitek caught. Not worried about his hitting. In the Play-offs its all about Pitching.
  11. https://soxsphere.com/2018/09/07/predicting-the-red-sox-25-man-playoff-roster/ Seam McAdam has only 2 Catchers too on his Roster, Leon, and Swihart Have to wait for Cora.
  12. Besides we didn't have 3 Catchers the whole season. Missed almost 2 Months with 3 Catchers. I don't understand we played the whole season thing with 3 Catchers.
  13. This ^^^
  14. 3 Catchers for 7 games, No Except WS. 3 Catchers for 162 games Yes. Remember for almost 2 Months we only had 2 Catchers. You should get by in 7 games with just 2. When CV got hurt it was only Swihart and Leon, when Swihart got hurt it was Butler and Leon for a while. Vazquez got hurt on July 7, and didn't come back till Sept. 1, only had 2 Catchers in that span.
  15. One last thing, Price's turn around since Leon has been Catching him is ridiculous. Don't know why it is but it is. Leon has to be on Roster. Leon Catching Price this year, 1.84 ERA 11 starts 73 innings, 9 BB's Vazquez, this year with Price, 4.68 ERA 17 starts 92 innings 34 BB's Not that small sample anymore.
  16. Of course, but bench might get depleted quickly. You PH for a Pitcher, you'll want to Double Switch.
  17. Maybe I'm not getting my point across, you want Swihart, because of his versatility in AL Play-offs, Vazquez and Leon the same to me, only need 1 of these. In WS you will all 3.
  18. Like I said 3 Catchers for WS makes more sense, since in National League Park you have to think about Pinch hitting for Pitchers too. AL series, I'll want more flexibility in other Positions, Leon to Vazquez the same to me. You also might need speed later in the game.
  19. Curious if your Pinch Hitting early in the game, are you using another Catcher to hit or another Position Player? Once you use a Positional Player, unless you do a Double switch, you lose him the rest of the game. Might not be good idea. Might need Defensive replacement late in the game, or Match-up with another Pitcher late in the game. Usually score, Match-up, and situation, would dictate Pinch Hitting situation. Don't panic early in the game, in another words. None of these Catchers are Johnny Bench. If your ahead no need to do anything. Your not gaining by Pinch Hitting, weak hitting Catchers, especially with another weak hitting Catcher. You don't want to lose Positional Players for later in the game, because as the game goes on you might need them. 2 Catchers in the AL series, maybe 3 in the WS, if you get that far. In the WS you also have to think about Pinch hitting for a Pitcher too. That's when I would want 3 Catchers.
  20. That rainout by the Mets last night has DeGrom vs. Sale Sunday night. That Rainout, now has us facing Syndergaard and DeGrom. Anyway out to be good game Sunday.
  21. Have a good night rather watch the game. Thanks.
  22. You stated your point I stated mine, now move on.
  23. You looking for argument? Is that what your about.
  24. You use Evans because he was an unreal Defensive Right Fielder, but he a real good Offensive threat too. He wasn't a 1 Dimensional player. Great Players do both, not just one thing.
  25. Thanks, I just think Iggy has hit his peak, you wont see much better, Defensively or on Offense.
