Travis Shaw is at 2nd base now for the Brewers, you can figure that out. With the Shifts today a 2nd baseman is not the same as it used to be. Swihart could play there in an emergency.

I would crack up if this is a big farce about Sale's Shoulder, to get him rest, and have other teams thinking. It's something Bill Belichick would do. It would be genius. He's basically on a Spring Training regime right now. Real smart, going into Play-offs.

I am not even going to go with 3 Catcher thing anymore, its Leon, and Vazquez. I doubt Swihart starts any Play-off games. He'll be used as needed in different Positions. And Catcher if game situation dictates it. So that will end that. He's only been in 18 games this year as a Catcher. 41 games in various positions including DH. So he's more of a swing guy like Zobrist than actually only a Catcher.

Holt's Sac Fly to move Lin to 3rd was big. 2 Productive Outs, that was the difference. Hits are not the only way to win a Game. Smart, Team Baseball wins games too. Outs are important. 3 Catchers are needed because they are weak Offensively, you might have to Pinch hit for them at crucial part of game. If Carlton Fisk was Catching would you pinch hit for him? Hell no. Sandy looks beat having caught the dog days of summer.Early July to Sept. I would rest him the rest of season. Might help him Offensively a little.
