  1. Biggest start of Price's career next one. Sanchez doesn't hit anybody, but he hits Price real good.
  2. Absolutely Agree. Look at this talent. Unreal.
  3. Since All-Star break A's had a 3.52 team ERA, the Yanks 4.19 team ERA.
  4. Games are constant adjustment from here on out, because of score, situations and match-ups, nothing is set once the game begins. It always changes, in the Play-offs. Nothing should be set if your a good Manager. The object is to win anyway, with anybody you need to win that day. One extra inning game might need game 3 starter, might need another. Play-off games are not a script. Expect the unexpected. Unless your up 10-0 in the 7th. haha
  5. Real Dirt Dog, Loved Him. Real battler, Leader.
  6. Oh yeah, there was a lot of talent, especially from the Farm, even a kid like Beniquez, nothing really special, but that was one of the best Farms that were putting out kids. Miller, Moret, Stanley, just to name a few.
  7. That was questionable too. Young Cooper, or the older Scott.
  8. Ben Oglivie for Dick McAuliffe. Oglivie went on to hit 225 HRS after trade. (Tigers +Brewers) McAuliffe 5.
  9. These Relievers got to stop the Lead-off walk to batters against these teams. Your not facing KC, Minn, or Texas anymore. All these AL Play-off teams will make you pay. Whoever wins tonight, and from here on out, its going to be a dogfight, every game. Throw out the 108 wins right now. Doesn't matter anymore.
  10. Kelly has to be given a short leash, if on the team. He compounds problems more then turning it around and finishes. You can usually tell if he's on with the first batter, if he throw strikes, he's on. Balls, get him out....fast.
  11. Wonder what the Yankee Fans thinking about Severino, which one you getting, Lights Out Kid, or the Quick Hook Kid? Boone is going to have to earn his money today, in smart decisions.
  12. Cortisone for the Shoulder? Hope not, not a good sign. You only get a couple of those shots, not good long term.
  13. Bradley got to have a good Post Season Offensively, he's got to flip that Line-up, and be on base as much as possible, so teams will have to Pitch to Betts. This is an important Post-Season for Bradley, with the bat. Cannot have repeat of last 2 Post-Seasons with him. Very important part of this line-up this Post-Season, need him bad with the bat.
  14. So did the 2001 Mariners. All I'm saying is with Altuve out for a Month, and Correa, and Springer had down seasons, they won over 100 again, with Pitching this year, not Offense.
  15. Sounds like a Oakland A guy to me, he ought to do alright in that Park too.
  16. Good stuff, X-Man is going to be very important in the Play-offs, if teams try to take the bat out of JD's hands. Benni is going to have step up too.
  17. Astros won more games this year then last year.
  18. Love my Hockey. Unreal sport. Best of everything in a couple of hours.
  19. That Ump is a jerk.
  20. Hockey and Baseball, Football to some extent, Fans help but their is no HFA. Both Sports you can take the Fans right out of a game. Now its about match-ups, and execution. And Managers decisions, are now more involved. Throughout game and Series. Your not playing KC, Orioles, or less quality Opponents. That's why Season Stats are meaningless now. Because they include Bad Opponents. It starts fresh. One play in a short series, can be a difference maker. That's where the Mental part of the game starts. It's every pitch time, it's a hard grind, on the mind. "Baseball is 90% mental, the other half is physical" - Yogi Berra
  21. True, but you don't need to be Tommy Lasorda to know the importance of Betts and JD is to this line-up. I'm sure this team has been Scouted pretty good, anyway.
  22. They are impressive, I just wouldn't let those 2 guys beat me. Force the others to do it. Not saying cant be done. I would just want more pressure in a Play-off series on other guys. Basically, you got 2 MVP's on this team, I would do everything to take the bats out of their hands. I would think better chance against the Sox. Just Common sense to me. Most of these guys were in last years Play-off game against Houston and didn't do much, I would try to repeat it. Last thing the pressure of the Play-offs effects all Players Butts different ways, that's why I throw out Regular Season, stats.
  23. If I was opposing Manager against Red Sox, I would not let Mookie or JD hurt me, I'll take my chances with rest of Line-up.
  24. Probably means nothing but since AS Break Oakland 63 games 96 HRS Yankees 65 games 103 HRS Boston 62 Games 71 HRS Make mistakes to Oakland or Yanks, ball goes a long way. Don't under estimate Oaklands Power.
  25. Oakland leads the Majors in scoring runs on the road, and hit have hit more HRS then anybody on the Road (Including the Yankees), all this tells me is Oakland is a Pitchers Park.
