Typical Red Sox game; when they get the hitting they don't get the pitching, and when they get the pitching they don't get the hitting. One run is not going to win this game.

The way this offense is it would have been inevitable that they would eventually lose. The Mauer home run just gets it over quicker.

Hello everyone. Haven't been here in a few years. Sox don't look too good offensively this year. They miss Papi more than I thought they would. Anyways, does Seabeach still post here?

All signs point to a sweep; i.e., Buchholz pitching, non playoff experience for the youngsters, the pressure of having to win or go home. I feel a sweep is coming and hopefully in the off season some good decisions will be made instead of the piss poor ones that have been made recently. -

I am not too disappointed in the way the Sox are playing. I'm amazed they won the division. I figured they would struggle with a group of youngsters not having the experience of dealing with playoff pressure. The starting rotation is iffy at best and the manager is not the greatest. As I stated, I am amazed they won the division. We'll have to wait until next year. -
Koji was money in 2013, why not use him again as closer. It's probably too late in the season for this kind of change, and besides, Farrell is too much of a wimp to do something like like.
