I slightly misquoted Rob Bradford , see below. Seven of the next eight teams the Red Sox play - the Braves, Guardians, Yankees, Rays, Rangers, Blue Jays and Mariners - all reside in the Top 10 when it comes to team ERA. And even though the Red Sox can claim the third-most hits in baseball in the past week, they still were in the middle of the pack when it came to scoring runs -

Based on the upcoming schedule, with 7 teams in the top 10 in ERA, excluding some miraculous turnaround in the hitting, in a months time this season will be well and truly over. -

Mayer is 3/21 in his last 7 games, and he looks like s hit at the plate, just like a lot of his teammates

The Sox have now lost 4 of their last 5, and a sweep is on the cards in Atlanta. Once again we pitch good enough to win, but the hitting continues to suck . Since Tracy has arrived, they have pitched well on the whole, and the defence has been great , but the hitting is as poor as it was before his arrival. This is not a surprise, as this line up was predictably weak before the season started, and has been made even worse by the massive back sliding by Story, Duran and Anthony. At the end of this road trip, the Red Sox could be 11-12 games under .500
