  1. Tied going to the 9th. My prediction, some light hitting Pale Hoser will dink one around the Pesky Pole; hasn't happened yet this series, but it seems to for the opponents about once each set.
  2. Holt should be back in a day or 2. Brentz will come up to fill the slot if Brock needs another day or 2. Shaw's in left as we post, although the way LFs are dropping, not sure I want him out there on anything other than an emergency basis.
  3. Well, given how the 8th has started out, probably doesn't matter anyway. If I'm a starter, let me go 9. I can't do much worse than the clowns in the pen right now.
  4. And against a right hander whose having some issues. The whole team needs to be told no bunting unless it's for a base hit or it's called from the dugout.
  5. Did Bradley bunt on his own or was it called from the dugout? Either way, he should never do it. He is terrible at it.
  6. Does it say something when Clay Buchholz has been your most effective reliever lately?
  7. Nice hindsight. That would be the Ross who gave up a hit and hit 2 guys last night in the 9th last night, right?
  8. Need to keep this going and get a bunch; piecing together the pen for 3 innings isn't going to be easy.
  9. When a team is scuffling, isn't that always the way?
  10. Might not matter how much they hate him. Until Holt is ready to come back, he's the only OF left on the 40 man roster.
  11. On top of everything else that's gone the White Sox' way this series, that's what, the 3rd infield hit today and probably the 5th or 6th of the series.
  12. I wonder if there is an eyesight issue. It wouldn't take much degradation to really screw you up.
  13. I don't get to see every game, but in the one's I've seen over the past week or so, Hanley looks anxious up there and he just doesn't look like he's seeing the ball at all.
  14. Ryan LaMarre is 2-26 in the major leagues. Edit: 2-27
  15. Going to get a good idea right here if Ortiz will even see another pitch to hit today.
  16. So where are you going to hit Pedroia?
  17. I imagine JBJ or maybe Shaw will slide into that spot for now.
  18. He will line it right at someone.
  19. Thanks. What year was it where everyone seemed to get hurt (2012?)
  20. Watching the White Sox broadcasts the past 2 nights, he's actually been pretty subdued for him.
  21. Stuck at work and can't see the game, what happened?
  22. As I said in post #3 of this thread, you just know it will be. And next time out he will be rocked.
  23. You just know Shields will revert to his former self this afternoon and then will go back to being bombed in his next few starts.
  24. When you figure out the why's of HOF balloting, let everyone know. The voters seemed particularly ornery in his first few years, viewing everyone with suspicion; I think it was 2012 or 2013 that nobody got in and at least one other time only one selection. No first timers were selected in those years. I think with the passage of time, some of the older voters moved on and the newer guys were a little less jaundiced in their view.
  25. If he pitches like he did the other night, he's a serviceable #5 type guy. The question is will he. If somebody younger/cheaper would step up and grab the #4-5 slot, Clay is totally expendable.
