  1. Kelly may very well be in tryout mode at this point, and he is doing everything he can to be left off the postseason roster.
  2. Kelly has a million dollar arm and a ten cent head. He is a thrower (not a pitcher) who literally has no idea how to pitch. He's been around long enough he should know the difference.
  3. No, Leon needs days off, which he should get this week.
  4. It's not about this game; Vazquez needs the ABs.
  5. Nice work, but you only have 24 guys listed, so Swihart could be on with no other "decision" to be made in the pen. Not sure I agree with Velazquez. I don't see him giving you anything that ERod or Eovaldi can't give you out if the pen, and realistically, he's been doing a Houdini act most of the season. I think you will see Kelly in that slot; despite his woes, he at least has the potential to get you out of a jam (and yes, he is just as likely to throw gas on the fire, I get that); Velazquez just doesn't have that type of stuff.
  6. The midweek guys (Jon Sciambi and Dave Fleming on PBP, Eduardo Perez and Hercheiser on color) are fine. They stick with baseball and baseball related observations almost all the time and are pretty even handed about praise and criticism. I agree the Sunday night crew is insufferable, espcially ERod who can't shut up.
  7. Small assist from Devers set up the inning. Still, Pom has to pitch through that tougher than he did.
  8. Sanchez (NYY) is is hitting .184 and giving Leon a good run for his money on that.
  9. Why would anyone watch those clowns?
  10. Price wasn’t horrible tonight, but his style (throwing away to right handed hitters) just doesn’t play well at Yankee Stadium. 3 really cheap homers that went what, 950 feet total?
  11. Exactly, and there could have been obstruction called (ala Middlebrooks in the 2013 WS)
  12. What’s his numbers the 3rd time through the line-up? He was showing signs of laboring in the 6th.
  13. Not satisfied with 103-47. There are some here that wouldn’t be happy with 162-0. There are some who seem to thing they should win every inning of every game.
  14. You are certainly an expert on the subject.
  15. The offense hasn’t exactly helped out; they had 3 chances against Happ and got 1 unearned run out of them.
  16. Could see that coming a mile away
  17. Define worse. Most stats they are about 4th overall
  18. Yup. Didn’t get that curve over early and never found it. Brasier may get hit but he won’t pitch scared.
  19. So has Happ. I like seeing pitchers get out of their own messes rather than looking to somebody else to do it for them
  20. Hicks made a great play deking Bogie there, and the angle was such that there wasn’t a thing Bogaerts could do about it. It prevented a run.
  21. So who would you have sent up?
  22. God you are insufferable. 103-47 and you still complain.
  23. Nah. Mostly cause it's not like that. The normal postwin "celebration" will be just fine; it will indicate a higher aim. Also, it would be the 3rd straight division, kind of a been there, done that thing.
