  1. The Jays have caught the Yanks in the standings and are now tied for 1st. Both are 48-38. The Rays are 48-39! SEA holds the last WC slot at 45-41 and is looking to add at the deadline. 43-44 TEX -2.5 42-43 LAA -2.5 43-45 BOS -3.0 MIN & CLE -4.0 KCR -5.5
  2. I'm not saying the call was right, but I just am not into this sort of speculative blame assigning. It's sad that Weissert is our #4. We had just seen RP'ers ranked below him get us through 6 innings. Sad,
  3. I feel that way about our 5 rookies, Garcia, Arias, Tolle, Clarke, Early and maybe even Valera. What can we get for Cespedes & Sandlin, Romero and Paez and/or Bleis and Mullins? That's the types of deals I'm looking at. We did get Nate for Beeks and Schwarber for Aldo, so maybe we can....
  4. We'd need to involve 3 teams, since trading Duran or Abreu at the deadline would normally be for prospects- not a #2 SP'er. Teams wanting Duran or Abreu will be needing their #2 SP'er, too. Duran or Abreu to contender: Contender send prospects to 3rd team along with some of our blocked ones. We get team 3"s #2 SP'er, who most likely will be a rental or high priced 2 year guy. It's possible. I'm not giving up a top 7-8 prospect for rental, unless an extension is involved.
  5. You may not like it, but we have nobody better than Weissert to bring in. He's our #4. fWAR 1.4 Chapman 0.7 Wilson & Whitlock 0.3 Weissert
  6. I guess Cora was supposed be out there with a whip in hand.
  7. Also, the same manger that got 6 scoreless innings from Bernardino, Alcara & Murphy.
  8. The worst part is he stood at home watching his hit for a full second. He could have been safe at 3rd.
  9. For nothing. MIL is 10 games over .500, so I'm not even sure they will be looking at selling.
  10. I would not give up Garcia. Bleis or Cespedes plus Sandlin or Mullins, maybe. Hey, Maybe Chris Murphy is the answer to our pitching woes! He was pretty good, a couple-three years ago.
  11. The Sox are looking for a reliable DH.
  12. Are you willing to give up Arias and Clarke for Peralta? How about Jh Garcia & Valera?
  13. 7-4 may not be good enough, as one of the hardest schedules one can imagine follows the AS Break: (not in order) LAD, PHI, HOU x 2 series, CHC, SDP The "easiest" two teams we face from July 18 to AUG 13th are 3 at MIN and 3 vs KCR. Brutal 24 games.
  14. At least we don't have DHam & Wong going in the same line-up. Wong goes, tonight. Abreu at DH & Anthony in RF. Mayer at 2B with Toro at 3B and Romy at 1B vs the RHP.
  15. Agreed, but those types of deals are usually reserved for winter time, and would be more costly in July, IMO. So, putting those ideas aside, what are we willing to part with for a rental? I am saying no to the 4 rookies, no to Dobbins, Arias, Jh Garcia, Tolle, Early, Clarke and Valera. I'd be very hesitant to trade away Perales, Justin Gonzales, Soto & Delzine. Borderline: Rivera, Bleis & Cespedes Might for the right piece: Sandlin, Romero, Taylor, Cason, Azocar, Jo Garcia, Ehrhard, D Reyes, H Rivas, Aita & Tibbs Don't hand away, but yes: Mullins, Guerrero, Jordan, Monegro, Paez, Uberstine, Wehunt, Castro & anybody not listed
  16. I had to leave so much off. Funny you mention "Moon got experience." On my album "Are You Experienced," I wrote on the cover, (My name_ "_____ ______'s got experience" under the title.
  17. Great Songs! I started out with a top 10 song list, and ended up with 30, and that was way too short.
  18. I like the older, bluesier Fleetwood Mac, more too, but this song grabs me hard. The Buckingham solo versions are awesome.
  19. MLB.com released its updated Top 100 Prospects List: 100 Jh Garcia 40 Arias 6 Mayer 1 Anthony (Graduated: Campbell)
  20. I prefer 5 over 4, if we don't have to part with a higher ranked prospect, as a result. To me, our top 3 prosects are worth more than the next 2 combined. Arias, Garcia and Tolle are close to worth more than any two combined, lower than them or lower than Perales & Valera. For example, I'd rather give Bleis & Cespedes than Arias or Garcia. I'd rather give Valera & Dandlin than Tolle, Perales or early.
  21. My top 20 List of Rockin' Songs, for now... (There could be 10 other songs, tomorrow.) 22. Nice list.
