  1. You can assume depth by using the following evidence: 1) The fans were standing against the fence. 2) The fans were leaning slightly forward. 3) The fans arms were out stretched to some extent. From this, you can determine with pretty close to 100% accuracy, that their hands were over the plane when they touched Mookie's glove. The secondary evidence shows that Mookie jumped and landed in front of the wall and barely scraped it on the way down.
  2. Anybody is better than Kimbrel right now.
  3. 9th Brasier 8th Barnes 7th Kelly 8 run lead Kimbrel
  4. 5 B's! Maybe JD needs to change his name to Bartinez and Rafael to Bevers...
  5. I shouldn't have said anything. We play them mid November.
  6. 1) Houston cares about being down 3-1. Yes, they will come out to win tonight. 2) If Kimbrel walked Breg, Price comes in up 8-7, bases loaded, 2 outs.
  7. Didn't they sustain the call and not say it was too inconclusive to overturn?
  8. If Sale pitches game 6, he won't be ready until game 3 of the WS (FRI 10-26) with an extra day of rest. He can then pitch game 7 on normal rest. He's only going to go 2 games anyways, so maybe 3 and 7 are better than 1 and 5.
  9. Bradley- Betts- Beni! Great D! Big hits! Killer beeing the Killer Bee makers.
  10. Go for the jugular! Sox in 5!
  11. The first 3 times I saw the replay, I thought it was a homer. It looked like Betts just closed his glove too early. I shoulda known he wouldn't do that on his own. Then, I saw the fans had knock into his glove causing it to close. One angle shows it clearly. The other angle shows the fans hand was just barely over the imaginary line into the field of play. Plus, watch how Betts jumps. He did not jump into the stands. When he came down, he didn't even hit the wall, except for just slightly near the bottom with his leg (maybe). His glove trajectory was not going into the stands. The fans were right up next to the fence, and even though they had T-Rex arms, to some extent, they still went over the plane by a couple inches or so.
  12. No prob. It was clear, but it was also very close.
  13. Yes, the fans hand caused Betts' glove to close. The fan was reaching sideways and out. It wasn't far over the wall, but it was. It was a close call, but they got it right. I'm waiting for Yankee trolls to weigh in.
  14. It's all good. To quote Gary Sheffield, "The call was the greatest travesty in the history of MLB!" Pedro agreed, they got the call wrong.
  15. Stop acting like I agree with the TBS clowns. I said I thought contact was made before Betts' glove went over the wall. The fan reached over the wall. The TBS crew never even debated that fact. Pedro meekly agreed with what's his name.
  16. How about... ERod 2, Hembree 2, Prcie 2, Barnes 2, Brasier 1
  17. I agree, but they showed the rule and technically, it's all about where Betts' glove was when contact was made with the fan. I thought his glove was on the field side of the ball or just at the fence, when first contact was made.
  18. I'd go Hembree for 2, Workman for 2, Barnes for 2, Price for 2, Brasier for 1.
  19. I agree. The point the TBS crew is making, is that if Mookies glove was over the wall, the rules states there can be no interference.
  20. Yes, the fan reached over the wall, slightly. The call was right, but the clowns at TVS even convinced Pedro they got the wrong call.
  21. They are saying once a fielder goes into the stands area, there an be no interference.
  22. If you look at Betts, he jumped and came down in front of the wall. His glove may not have been in the stands area. The fan was against the railing and reaching out a little or sideways. The TBS crew is saying the interference happened over the wall, where there can be no interference.
  23. Even Pedro is now saying Altuve's hit was an HR "by the rules".
