Why did the Sox offer a s***** catcher an arb that amounted to $2.5M? I guess you think they are dumb. If he sucks, why did they even offer him a minor league assignment? I wouldn't have offered him $2.5M, if I thought he sucked, so who is smarter? The Sox FO or some of us?

Here's an interesting factoid. The Rays are on their way to an 11 and 3 record. Their catcher OPS was .417 before the game, and Zunio is currently 1 for 5 tonight.

Nobody has ever said all 5 starters need Leon. In fact, only two have much better records with Leon: Sale & Price.

Rehabbing Yankees reliever Dellin Betances is not progressing on quite the timeline that might have been hoped. Manager Aaron Boone said today that a recent simulated game “didn’t go great,” as MLB.com’s Bryan Hoch was among those to tweet. Betances is now heading back to New York to undergo an MRI on his shoulder.

Could this be like the intentional walk rule? The O's could just gives us the 3 wins and go home early?

I'd love to see Pearce get more PAs than just vs LHPs. I'm sure Cora will be resting Betts, Beni, JD, JBJ and Moreland several more days than many managers would do, so Pearce can get some that way, but I'm not so sure about "benching" JBJ to get Pearce into more games vs RHPs. Maybe sitting JBJ vs more LHPs than needed might make some sense offensively. I would not agree to the idea of benching JBJ vs RHPs just to get Pearce into those line-ups.

You guys better hope you are just getting all your injuries out of the way early, and not that this is a continuing trend.
