  1. 18 runs scored in 2 games. 31 in 5. 42 in 7. 61 in 11. Who is this team?
  2. WOO lost 1-0 as Gamboa did fine. The staff K'd 11 and walked 2, while allowing just 4 hits and a first inning HR. The bats mustered 3 hits as Cheng was 1-2 w a BB. POR won 3-1. Ziehl, Carlson & Adames K'd 13, walked 1 and allowed just 6 hits. GRE is up 1-0 after 4. Gonzales hit his 7th HR and Witherspoon is pitching. SAL is just getting started.
  3. Not based on 2026 only... 1. Crochet 2. Gray 3. Suarez 4. Tolle 5. Early 2-3-4 are very close to each other. If Early can stop walking so many batters, he'd be closer to 2-3-4.
  4. Like an F to Abreu for standing and watching his hit and then getting thrown out at 2B? To answer your question, fangraphs has us 5th in their baserunning index.
  5. What evidence supports this? Sale started 115 games in 7 seasons, including the lost 2020 season. 33.3 starts x 6 years and 12 starts for 2020= 212 possible starts. (54%) Crochet has started 38 times out of 44 (86%.) If he missed his next 26 starts, which would go into 2027, he'll be even with Sale.
  6. Agreed. IKF will regress to his norm. We don't know what Durbin's norm is.
  7. Point well-taken, but no Contreras, no Rafaela and no Roman. Wong at DH seals the deal.
  8. Someone asked me what I'd do. 1. I would not go all in on 2026 by trading away the farm in hopes of building a ring team in 2 months. 2. I could say 2027 in reasonable as a target to build up to, but that would involve getting JH to spend like the Dodgers. Who here thinks that has any chance? 3. I chose 2028, because we have a few key players still under control for that final year of their contracts plus some young players that will be peak prime in 2028. What's your idea?
  9. This data is NOT AAV. It is the actual payroll numbers.
  10. Wong barely misses a Fenway homer and gets promoted to DH! LOL. Duran CF (Rafaela with a day off) Gasper 1B (Contreras with a day off) Abreu RF Yoshida LF IKF 2B (Batting 5th!!!) Durbin 3B (Batting 6th!!!) Mayer SS Wong DH Narvaez C Is this the worst line-up of the season?
  11. Can anyone find hard hit rates over small sample sizes, because it seems like in the past 4-5 games, Durbin has a hard hit rate 4X what it was before the last few games.
  12. To me, Guerrero and Samaniego are interchangeable on who is demoted. Giving up on Watson has merit, too, but keeping as many options on the table might override him as a choice. On Bello, I would not mess with the opener followed by Bello routine. We just need to find a better opener. Maybe try Kahnle?
  13. There is no indication he is prone to multiple injuries.
  14. While Kahnle walks a ton of hitters, he has a 14 inning scoreless streak going and will become a FA on Monday, if we don't add him to the roster. I'd say let's keep him. I've given up on hopes that Crawford, Oviedo or Sandoval can help the pen out, when they return, and other AAA options look scary, so why not? Other 40 Man options: Bennett, Anderson & Gamboa- currently starting and Kelly or Eduardo Rivera. Other non 40 AAA options: Sansone & Burgos (starters) and Bastardo, Keller, Song, Olds, Sweet, Martinez & Webb (Uberstine has begun his rehab.) Whitlock is on the IL with a knee issue. Crochet does not seem like be joining the team anytime soon.
  15. Could they be moving him to the pen?
  16. Tommy Kahnle has an opt-out on Monday. Demote Guerrero? Cut ties with Watson? What about giving Seigler a look-see?
  17. The "realistic look:" we've won 1 in a row! We play CLE on Sunday Day off 3 vs BAL 3 at NYY 3 at TBR Day off 3 vs TEX 3 vs TOR If there ever was a time to go on a winning stretch, it's now. Yea, right!
  18. I think he remembers we traded Meidroth for Durbin.
  19. Woo lost and nothing to report. POR lost, too and nothing to say. GRE lost big, but Azocar had 2 hits and Uberstine rehabbed. Finley & Gartrell pitched very well in SAl's 5-1 win. Nunez 3-4 w 2 HRs
  20. May Sox OPS 1.059 IKF 1.005 Roman (13 ABs) .922 Willson .847 Duran .826 Rafaela .784 Gasper .721 Sogard .687 Masa .678 Abreu .667 Wong .634 Monasterio .593 Story .577 Narvaez .517 Durbin .493 Mayer May ERA (9+ IP) 0.00 Chapman 2.00 Gray 2.35 Tolle 2.67 Bello 2.89 Suarez 3.07 Early 3.12 Whitlock (8.2 IP) 3.60 Weissert 3.94 Watson 4.35 Bennett 4.91 Moran 5.40 Samaniego
  21. Remember the talk about how Brez was an idiot to view him as a #2?
