  1. Yes, I just copied MLBTR's (unupdated) page.

  3. There are more ways to make money. You can make more money, even with lower attendance and viewership, as long as the money you make per fan outweighs the amount of fans lost each year.
  4. I'm all for robo umps. I'm all for paying minor league players and ML scrubs much more and possibly mega stars less. I'm hopeful the next contract does that.
  5. We'd have no rings without our farm. The Dodgers won't trade Lux for Lindor or Betts, but yeah, farms don't help teams win. LOL!
  6. You're not joking. You ARE a joke. (I honestly thought you were, or maybe just a troll.) MLB will not go broke paying minor leaguerers triple what they make now. I'm done. Ignoring you is no threat. It's for me not you.
  7. You have got to be joking. If not, it's ignore time.
  8. Don't fall for the elk's alternative facts. We got all those star pitchers because we had a farm full of prospects other teams wanted.
  9. Dan D left Theo with a decent core of young players and prospects. Theo mastered farm building and used the comp pick system and IFA market to build winning seasons after winning season. Many prospects were traded away for key players- other made an impact on the Sox. Nomar Lester Pedey Freddy Sanchez Fossum (Got us Schilling) HRam & A Sanchez (Got us Beckett & Lowell) Shoppach David Murphy Jorge dela Rosa Youkilis Papelbon Ellsbury Lowrie Buchholz Masterson (Got us VMart) D Bard Reddick Kelly (Got us AGon) Tazawa Iggy (Got us Peavy) Bogey Betts JBJ Barnes Alex Wilson Vaz Workman Moncada & Kopech (Sale) Margot, Guerra, Allen (Kimbrell) Espinoza (Pom) Shaw & Dubon (Thornburg) ERod (from BAL) Devers Beni Now, we have Casas Mata Jimenez Dalbec Groome Duran It's no wonder our future looks bleak.
  10. It's "only good" if you have one or two to trade? Did we trade Betts & Bogey? I'm done with this debate or whatever you call it.
  11. ...and Bogey.
  12. If there was proof there is no correlation, you could find it. Here's a positive proof to prove: prove weak farms lead to winning more.
  13. I never said or implied a strong farm means deep or shallow with just a few top prospects. The Sox are a fine example of how a strong farm led to rings we never saw before we had strong farms. Even our weak farm now was what led to the 2018 ring, since we traded away a strong farm to win it.
  14. Prove to me farms don't help teams win. Cite some data.
  15. Lol. Proof is everywhere.
  16. Teams are valuing prospects more than ever. You couldn't be more wrong.
  17. You get less bonus pool money for IFAs- an area we used to do well in
  18. Wrong. Plus, a strong farm helps keep a winning team on the field and revenues pouring in.
  19. It's harder to build the farm when going over. It's about more than just short term profit.
  20. There's not much gray area. Either we try to reset, or we don't. If we do, we have some major work to do. I don't see the purpose of cutting salary and not resetting.
  21. Well, Price is no "fan favorite," and I doubt anyone gets upset, if we trade Eovaldi. I have been JBJ's biggest fan and supporter over the years, but I think it makes sense to trade him, assuming the budget mandate is for real. I don't want to trade Betts or JD, but we may very well lose them after 2020 and have nothing to show for it. I think the odds of us winning in 2020 are low enough to warrant looking into dealing Betts and or JD, but not for "pennies on the dollar." In theory, trading Price, Eovaldi and JBJ (even assuming we pay a lot towards their salaries or take back lower salaries) would free up enough money to sign a few under-the-radar FAs and be better positioned to outbid everyone for Betts in 2021. Price & JBJ for Myers & Margot. Eovaldi of Odor. The FA list is getting smaller.
  22. I don't know all the facts, but I think he'll get paid. It will be up to the Yanks to prove what he had done went against their treatment plans. Would he need permission to get a massage? To take an Aspirin? To get in a heated whirlpool?
  23. It's also possible he never got explicit consent and still wins.
  24. Beni, maybe- Chavis would be shocking. For us to seriously compete, a more likely route would be for Betts & JD to repeat 2018 not 2019, and for our starters to be healthy. That may seem like a lot, but it's not as long a shot as Chavis even finishing top 10 or 20 in the MVP vote. I've not given up on 2020, and even if I do, I've been surprised before. I didn't think we'd win in 2013. What makes 2020 difficult is the budget needs and the near certain fact that some big named player(s) won't be here in 2020. I won't blame Bloom for dealing away someone, since he's being pushed to do so. I trust he will get the best deal he can, even if we don't like it.
  25. I think you're wrong. I guess Ellsbury and his legal team are not that dumb. If the treatment he got did not interfere with the treatment he was getting through consent, I can't see how the Yanks win.
