Game 1 Line-Up 1. Arroyo 2B 2. Verdugo CF 3. JD DH 4. Bogey SS 5. Devers 3B 6. Marwin 1B 7. Renfroe RF 8. Cordero LF 9. Plawecki C My guess is Dalbec, EHern and Vaz play in game 2. Maybe Marwin, Plawecki and Renfroe sit vs the righty, Berrios, in game 2.

There's a good chance we will be talking about these choices in July. (Remember, there is no longer the usual waiver wire deadline of August 31st, so it's trade in July or hold o to them. One interesting and rare occurrence could occur. We could trade Eovaldi and Barnes, as well as some 2022 option player not likely to be kept around for prospects, and then we could trade young talent for a player under team control for several years, who might be a salary problem for the team trading him. I did not intend to make this political, but here in Houston, the city and county have been trying to decide what to do with the Astrodome for a long time. The voters actually voted to tear it down, long ago, but they were ignored due to the enormous cost of demolition.

I'm excited about watching some of our younger players and seeing who can fill some high needs we have going forward. I know some will not pan out, and we will hit some rough patches again, like games 1-3, but I'm going to try hard to stay positive.

So, the dome opens in 1982 and collapses in 2010. When funding to build the dome occurred, was it with the understanding it would be crumbling within 30 years? Many big dome stadiums are in the same situation 25-40 years after being built, and sometimes the taxpayers are on the hook on the expenses needed to demolish them.

It's way early, but this was the hot start we had hoped for in a season where we knew we needed nearly everything to go right.
