    He did add Wach & Hill, too. The two prospect we got for Renfroe are doing very well, and JBJ is our hottest hitter the past few days.

    Murphy's ERA is down to 2.10, despite the 14 BBs in 30 IP. The 38 Ks and only 16 hits are nice to see.

    These guys will have to earn their way onto the staff, and many will be after 2022. Add Wello, Woome, Wata, Weabold & Wurphy to the list.

    Wallace will be in the pen. Maybe add Seabold, Walter or Gonzalez to the rotation- or Houck.

    True, but man, he was awful for a stretch there, before the playoffs. His last 11 games: 7.2 IP 12 H 5 BB 2 HBP 8 ER 10 K That's 19 runners allowed in less than 8 IP with an ERA over 9!

    1. This thread implies firing Bloom, now- not "if we finish in last place.". There was no mention of waiting until after the season. 2. I don't think we'll finish in last place. 3. No, I don't think he'd be fired, if we do finish last, despite the large payroll, but I do think a debate would be justified, then. I think Bloom will be given more time than Ben was given, but then again Ben did win a ring between the 3 last place finishes.

    Many felt Kelly should have been left off the playoff/WS roster, but that would have been a costly mistake. (Also, a lesson to those who feel your most recent production level dooms you to repeat that going forward.)

    Between ST'ing and the start of the season, I think Fitzy deserves a look-see, and soon. Groome did not have it, tonight. I think it will be Seabold or Winckowski as the first starter to be called up. Rafaela went 3 for 4 w a 2B Lugo 2 for 4 Larry covered the taters.

    I think, if Bogey runs out on that blooper, maybe the runner slows down enough to not get to 3B. Maybe not.

    I hope I'm not wrong, and of course offense is down across MLB, but I can't see all these guys staying this cold, all year long: Current OPS- Player- career before 2022 and recent years OPS .332 Plawecki .667/ .714 '17-'21 .444 Dalbec .819/ .819 '20-'21 .523 Arroyo .690/ .762 '20-'21 .524 Vaz .692/ .741 '19-'21 .562 JBJ .705/ .731 '15-'21 .567 Kike .748/ .762 '18-'21 .590 Story .863/ .880 '18-'21 .592 Verdugo .791/ .802 '19-'21 .762 Devers .847/ .886 '19-'21 Only 2 are doing better: .904 Bogey .812/ .894 is close to .904 .910 JD .881/ .944 '17-'21 was better than '22 These low numbers are staggering and way beyond the league dip in OPS.

    I'd like to see how they do in AAA, but I trust those in charge know when the time is right. Maybe. if Seabold and or Winckowski get called up to the bigs, we'll see who gets promoted first. (It might be Groome.)

    Some posters were hoping we replaced Kimbrel in 2018, late in the season and playoffs.
