  1. I'd say the odds are close to 60% he stays a Yankee.
  2. Big Nate on the mound.
  3. It's great seeing Houck do very well in high leverage situations. Tonight's line: SP 4 IP 4 ER 4 BB+H RP 6 IP 1 ER 5 BB+H (No ghost runner scoring)
  4. He's so up and down. .632 first 999 PAs in MLB (2014-2018) .799 middle 710 PAs (2019-2020) .672 last 644 PAs (2021-2022), but he's been bring it up, recently
  5. That time, it would have been better.
  6. We might have a better chance at scoring without a ghost runner.
  7. I know it's probably all in my head, but I swear we hit good pitching better than we do unknowns and struggling pitchers.
  8. Story on base for the third time, tonight (lol.)
  9. We've had many chances. Not that 5 is a bad number.
  10. Just because I really like Cofra, does not mean I never disagree. (BTW, many times I disagree, his choice works, so who is wrong?) Cora did stick with Kike in the leadoff slot a long time, last year, and it finally paid off. Was he wrong? In hindsight, I'd say yes. He should have know precisely when Kike was going to heat up, and put him leading off that very day.
  11. Our bottom of the order is doing much better the last 3-4 weeks. Story is fast. Leading Kike off is a mistake. I guess we could lead off our best singles hitter- JD, but we already have issues scoring from 2B on doubles.
  12. Maybe another one-handed HR?
  13. Cora putting Houck on the hot frying pan.
  14. I was sure it would be a leadoff walk.
  15. I can't watch. I know what's coming.
  16. No doubt, Kike should not be leading off, at least until he can go a month of so hitting well. Is it time to go with... 1. Story 2. Devers 3. JD 4. Bogey 5. Cordero 6. Verdugo/Kike 7. Kike/Verdugo 8. Vaz 9. JBJ/Dalbec/Arroyo
  17. Um, Kike has "picked it up, too. No, you're not the only one here, tonight, but you've been bashing Kike more than anyone I know, and for longer, too. Eye Test- as in get your eyes checked Since May 20th .849 JBJ .817 Kike .783 Verdugo Looks like they all have been heating up, and the two best fielders are 1-2, yet you want Kike platooned not Verdugo, and despite all but Kike being LH'd hitters.
  18. Exactly, especially on the road and with our record with ghost runners.
  19. Miracle it was with 2 outs.
  20. But, it doesn't tell you enough with Verdugo or JBJ? Of course, he's sucked at bat, this year- just about from day 1 to now. My point is, so has everyone else, but you seem to single him out, and he's twice the defender as Verdugo and Duran.
  21. Late & Close: .941 Bogey (7 rbi in 37 PAs) .917 Cordero (4 rbi in 12 PAs) .789 Devers (1 rbi in 34) .769 JD (1 in 12) RISP: 1.110 Cordero (16 rbi in 29 PAs) 1.034 Story (33 rbi in 62) .910 Devers (19 in 52) .905 Bogey (23 in 71) .876 JBJ (20 in 54) .779 JD (19 in 65) .716 Vaz 18 in 45 .678 Kike 19 in 58 .661 Verdugo 22 in 67 Men on Base .914 Bogey .904 Devers .892 Cordero .884 Story .845 Vaz .791 JD
  22. He's got great numbers with men on base, RISP and Late & Close. It's not his fault he gets a single with a man on 2B, and they never score.
