  1. My question was where does Ref play v LHPs, if we add Drury and Canha, and who sits if you say DH or corner OF? Please answer.
  2. He is really proving himself, this year. Most might have been happy with .665 and improved D.
  3. In 2021 he was about even. In 2019 he was 70 better v RHP. Yes, he does not need to be platooned, which was my point, but you chose to criticise me not the guy who want a Wong-Teel platoon.
  4. Why does continues automatically imply 2024, when it was a reply to a response to my career split post? Geesh.
  5. A few posts earlier I specifically said his career splits are 100 points in reverse.
  6. The list is longer, but so was the one with the three you named. Holt Marco Hernandez Dubon Marrero Lin Chavis (3B).
  7. True, but for 90 games or so, and Story’s OPS was not as good as Romy+ DHam + Valdez. The point made was about the last 6 weeks. Have we had a 2Bman better on O and D than we’ve seen the last6 weeks?
  8. Vs LHPS LF Duran CF Rafaela RF O’Neill If Rafaela plays SS: It can work, but then why add Drury?
  9. If you get Drury and Canha, where does Ref play when we face a lefty?
  10. A 2-3 would be nice, but I figure the odds at… 50% #5 35% #4 10% #3 5% #2 Or 35% no SP 35% 5 20% 4 7% 3 3% 2
  11. yup… same with others.
  12. If Wong continues with reverse splits, it’s the same as having 2 LHBing catchers, right?
  13. I would not mind a RHB at MI, but a SP is by far the top priority.
  14. Exactly. That pace is one of the best we’ve seen at MI since 2020, except Bogey
  15. I think that is what we do. We won’t have to part with a top 7 or 8 prospect, either. Maybe trade Valdez, Castro and Paulino.
  16. Westbrook was at .958 v LHPs before last nights game, and he’s on the 40, but it might be worth adding Yorke. He’s rule 5, this winter.
  17. Yorke is not much better on D than Romy & DHam. I’m not sure he’s out hit DHam, Valdez and maybe Romy.
  18. The catching position is rarely platooned L-R, but rather by pitcher. Besides, Wong has a career reverse split that is over100 points higher v RHP. ,
  19. We already have a short side platoon DH in Ref. Our IF is set. Where else can we play him? On another team?
  20. Sox 2B from 2019 to 2023: 27th in fWAR at 4.7 (0.9 per season) .697 OPS It’s worse, this year, but the last 6 weeks seem to be better than what we have seen for much of the last5 years or the last 5 as a whole.
  21. Then a big chunk of MLB sucks at bat.
  22. 6 of NYYs top 9 batters by PAs are below .700. 9 of their top 12 are below .712! 6 of their top12 are below .650. None of our top 11 are below .671 (Smith.) 7 of our top 10ams at.728 or better.
  23. It seems like .670 to .690 is okay, now.
  24. Agreed, and this includes Grissom. I also think the recent play we have seen by DHam, Romy, Rafaela and even Valdez, post call up, has been better than what we’ve seen at 2B in 3-4 years. Looking at SS and 2B, of course when Bogey was here, the MI was better, but we’ve had some damn good numbers from our MI on O the last5-6 weeks or so. The D has not been good, but when was the last time it was? Story for brief moments with who at2B?
  25. Give Valdez a 1Bman mitt inAAA. It’s obvious he can never play 2B well enough.
