  1. so i guess we should expect all the SP to pitch 2 innings of relief during their throw days? it's super humid in Jersey today. i blame Farrell....
  2. i was kind of thinking snickering. like he knows he is about to become the next Manager.
  3. Pom only going 5+ innings is what killed us. JF's moves after his starter couldn't get more than 15 outs were not being "out managed". he brought in the guy in the 6th to get out of that inning. he started the 7th with a guy that has been very very solid lately. he stunk. everyone else he brought in to try and put the fire out stunk. you guys can blame the L on JF if you want. i blame it on Pom and everyone else that pitched last night not named Clay.
  4. i choose player A scenario.
  5. i dont know if he's in Florida or not. he's a 90+ year old WWII vet who has bled red sox longer than you and i have put together. i show him some respect.
  6. didnt beckett win a WS MVP prior to coming to Boston? (rhetorical...i know he did) i think WS lights are pretty bright...
  7. when does a plan become a plan? do you expect that the Sox FO has 2019 already planned out to each 162 games and who is in the lineup each and everyday? or do you think a 25 man roster can be a fluid thing and sometimes a GM needs to make moves "on the fly" without having it planned out 2 years in advance? i think i need to know what UN considers an acceptable amount of time for "planning" so we can be sure to call anything under that amount of time a "panic move".....
  8. Game 112 - Tie JBj: 2-5 / RS JE: 0-3 / 2BB / RBI JBj: 63 JE: 35 Tie: 15
  9. i really dont think either. i think we were trying to improve a "weakness". mostly due to injury. but i dont think i would use the word "panic". but thats just my opinion.
  10. stick it in their ass! gay mojo on point! *please note: i am gay ally so please dont misconstrue any of the above as anti LGBTQ community*
  11. there were a few writers on the previous Forum so who knows...maybe DD does poke around from time to time.
  12. no one is blaming them for trying to get a "proven veteran" first. but that doesnt mean that plan B has to equate to panic move either. it might just be plan B...
  13. i almost think we should try and get both of them looked up to LTC now.....either way, both will get to FA at an age much lower than when Ells signed with the yankees so i would feel more comfortable with a lengthy contract....
  14. edited because im an idiot
  15. cant wait to see SC30's game thread today......
  16. if you have the opportunity to improve any position - guess what? you improve it. the Red Sox had the opprotunity to improve LF right now. and that is what they did. if Benintendi was a RHSP or RP then he would have been brought up to fill that need. you improve where you can. are you saying they shouldnt improve the LF position because Pitching is a greater need? it kind of sounds like cutting your nose off to spite your face or something.....
  17. or you could trust the judgement of...oh, i dont know...the Red Sox evaluators, FO, coaches that called him up???
  18. Lol...I kind of wish this was the final post in this thread......
