    yup. 2 more years after this one at $17MM per. although a long shot there could be another year if he vests: 2019 - $15M Team Option - Option will vest if he totals 1,000 PAs from 2017-18, catches 90 games in 2018 and is not on the disabled list at the end of the 2018 season

    the point of the butterfly was...how do you know that sandy would still have had a "great game" if he was moved up another spot in the order? maybe he grounds out 4 times. how do you know that JBj would still have hit his HR if he was moved down in the order? maybe he would have been pitched differently and drilled in the earhole his first ab to never play ball again...... what we do know is that putting them in the exact way that JF did resulted in each of them hitting a HR with runners on base.

    this may have been stated elsewhere but IMO Betts is hitting after Ortiz to try and get Papi going again. he has been scuffling for a month or so. (273 july / 255 august)...

    lol. true enough. we have all come up with doozies from time to time being the "fan"atics that we are. the reason i think that dalas is trolling is because all his ideas are subtly or not so subtly out of left field. and it hasnt been 1 or 2 players or positions. im not pointing it out to get him banned or anything like that. just this guys opinion of who/what he is doing....

    im not sure a 0.7 dwar is "phenomenal" but perhaps you and i have different levels of expectations. especially on what $17MM x 5 should provide when the d numbers fall off a cliff year 3.

    i dont think we need to get into different pitch selections or what happens when a butterfly flaps it's wings in china...... what we do know is that leaving them be in this game resulted in each one going yard. that i will take. everytime.

    you do know that most of the infrastructure in Sochi was built with slave labor, right? many died and many, many more worked to the bone and never received pay. 2 points on Brasil: - the empty arenas and venues is embarrassing - the idiot swimmers for the USA that claimed they were robbed by police will be a global embarrassment for the USA.

    this is the biggest start of the year for David Price. if our offense only scores 1 run he needs to pitch a shutout. no innings off. no pitches off. every pitch needs 100% effort both physically and mentally. it's as simple as that.

    i believe any guy within your organization can be added to the postseason roster. there is a cutoff to acquiring someone via waiver wire and having them play on your postseason roster. 15-sep? not sure.
