if you guys have it thru Directv you can put on channel 720 (where it has 8 games on one screen) and most of the time the small one there is the NESN feed. i have watched many a Sox v Yankees game this way as i just cannot stand YES announcers.....
im ok with the whiner part. but not the constant. if there is any consistency to my "complaining" it is due to performance of Mr. Price. when he has been good and won i have given him credit each and every time. i am honest to god hoping he can go 8 and win 1-0 today.
it certainly looks like Leon got the message that farrell was sending him by not replacing Haloday with him the day before. i expect him and kimbrel to go on a good run together now....
all good questions bosoxmal. i have no idea what the "acceptable" sample size is for some of the folks here.
i have posted on more than one occasion that the old WWII vet was dead on correct.
by "other stats" im sure you were referring to the Slasher Tracker.
i believe JE would come out on top in a CF comparison between JE and Craw for 2016 (and probably most years).
biggest start of the season for Price is tonight. this is put up or shut up time. these are the games you need your Ace to show up. i dont care if we only score 1 run. he needs to win 1-0. tonight is the night.
DO IT.
hahaha. awesome!
Manny did the Mookie snarl during his first AB in every 10U travel game this summer. too funny.
Fall ball starts tonight so we'll see how it's progressed.
see post 279. if anything, i am PHing for leon with haladay late in the game in any game up by at least a run in which kimbrel is going to get a sniff in.....
(no, im not really phing for him...but i may send haladay out in the defensive 9th)
good point.
Kimbrell era by catcher:
Leon: 6.75
haladay: 0.00
Hanigan: 1.74
vaz: 1.62
clearly the manager knows better than to put leon behind the plate in a one run game with how terrible he does calling/catching kimbrell.....
no. i am trying to say there is no "clearly superior" player in that situation. so it makes sense to me to give the regular catcher the full day off and not risk going into extra innings with no backup by PHing with 0 outs in a game you are winning by a run in the 9th inning......
agreed. and every person on the planet given the choice to win a 7th game of WS with one last AB would pick david ortiz over just about anyone. including one mr. edgar martinez.
Ok, of the 3 which is clearly superior offensively in that situation? (2nd and 3rd / 0 outs)
#1 has had 1 AB in that situation.
#2 has never had an AB in that situation.
#3 has had 5 AB's in that situation.
which is clearly superior?
not much to differentiate in that situation. so leaving that days starting catcher in up by a run to finish his job while giving your everyday catcher a full day off is not an idiotic (or whatever term you want to use) decision. it's a baseball decision.
