  1. thank you for answering. my non english question was for those that complain the Farrell left starter in too long one night and then the next night (or week or month) complain when the Farrell pulls the starter too quickly. still may not be english but my brain knows what i mean and my brain is all that really matters....
  2. i'll try again in this thread... do you expect ziegler warming up during the bottom of the 5th while the sox are up just in case erod (or whatever starter) gives up 3 quick hits in the top of the 6th and so called "imploding"? how many times do you think ziegler (or any reliever you want to insert) can get up and down in a game? in a week? in a month? in a season? how many times when you switch from "Farrell left the starter in too long" to "Farrell overuses the bullpen"? how fast do some of you think a Relief Pitcher can warm up? seems like some of you think it takes 3 or 4 throws.....it also seems some of you think that a Relief Pitcher can warm up 3 or 4 times a game before actually being called upon and then be effective. How many outs do you expect the Starting Pitcher to get a night? How many outs do you expect ziegler to get a night? how many outs do you expect Kimbrell to get a night? total those 3 numbers up. do they equal 27? if not, where do you get the remaining outs from? if they do, how many games in a row do you expect ziegler & kimbrell to get those outs?
  3. based on the posts i have seen over the coarse of this season they were honest questions. of course answering them honestly might ruin some narratives....
  4. why isn't Farrell having Ziegler warm up right now just in case big d!ck pom pom has a rough first inning and gives up 3 quick singles??? surely ziegler can get 24 outs and get us to kimbrell.....
  5. Pedroia has been our best hitter lately and missed the past 2 games. i blame John Farrell for killing Pedroia's father-in-law.
  6. how fast do some of you think a Relief Pitcher can warm up? seems like you think it takes 3 or 4 throws.....or maybe some of you think that a Relief Pitcher can warm up 3 or 4 times a game before actually being called upon and then be effective.
  7. we havent seen the BP give us a "good inning or two" in some time. i guess that's farrell's fault too. do you expect ziegler warming up during the bottom of the 5th while the sox are up just in case erod (or whatever starter) gives up 3 quick hits in the top of the 6th and so called "imploding"? how many times do you think ziegler (or any reliever you want to insert) can get up and down in a game? in a week? in a month? in a season? how many times when you switch from "Farrell left the starter in too long" to "Farrell overuses the bullpen"?
  8. DL. although in 2 days it wont matter.
  9. it's not like the bullpen is lights out and he would adversely effect the bp mojo. i would rather see him given a shot than tazawa throwing another pitch.
  10. Game 131 - JE JBj: 0-3 / BB JE: 4-6 / 2RBI JBj: 71 JE: 45 Tie: 16
  11. sweep.dance.repeat
  12. i'm still not sure if you were trolling when you said it would be picked up. but if he gets a few more starts and pitches like good clay....it just may happen. if he doesnt get a couple/few more great starts i doubt it's picked up.
  13. im not sure if i've mentioned this before but.... i love you HFX
  14. his numbers in July were falling fast. he had zero protection. betts hitting behind him has resparked his bat. it was a solid move by JF....
  15. thanks for clarifying IL. i didn't delve deep on B-R when i pulled the numbers. i thought maybe he did them back in the twins days and didnt even think the #1 or #2 hitter would be PH for....
  16. this is GREAT news. im shocked there is no damage. i guess he is young enough that he is still comprised of rubber....
  17. i was completely on board leaving him in the rotation. his last couple of starts he looked like the clay that goes on a 12-1 / 1.98 ERA run......
  18. thats exactly who i was thinking of when i posted that. and guess what? he actually lost his job because of that game.
  19. im not sure if i've ever mentioned this before but....i love you kimmi
  20. edit. i just dont think flipping betts back and forth is the answer. but i would be ok simply moving everyone up a spot and batting holt 9th....i wonder if ortiz has ever batted 2nd? just looked it up: 2 for 5 with a double.. he's actually 2 for 4 with a BB batting leadoff!!
  21. Barnes threw a match into the can of gas.....
  22. it's a WIN when one of the Killer P's is on the bump. count it.
  23. awesome article. thanks for sharing.
  24. JF surely doesnt want to flip flop betts from cleanup to leadoff and back. who would you recommend bat leadoff while pedey is at a funeral or takes a blow?
  25. on the contrary...i think the "change" would be if they lose it 4-3 and a questionable coaching decision costs the game. if they lose 15-2 that is solely on the players.....
