needed to reset the LT and couldnt do that at 3 / $60MM. he's almost 35 YO. we already have Hanley. His HR trot is f***ing stupid.

with the extra days off in the postseason we can get away having 3 starters. Sale, Pom, and 1 from Erod/Porcello (whoever has the hot hand - i would vote erod right now). in a 5 game series we throw Sale 2x. we just need 1 win out of 3. if Pom keeps proving me wrong like he has all season i like our chances.

we have had 2 fantastic turns through the rotation. starters are definitely pitching very well. flowing from the top down. Sale setting the pace and everyone else doing their best to impersonate. i really like our team right now.

i'll take the 18 dingers. he can get white hot in september. his babip is 50 points off his career norm. let's call him unlucky so far this year. good things to come. HanRam should NOT sit.

Can you blame HanRam for signing the contract that was offered to him at $22MM? no his effort in LF was there until he ran into the sidewall at Fenway fairly early on in that season. he never complained once. it was beyond a stretch to expect him to improve in the outfield after that injury happened and they finally shut it down. he came back the next spring and trained to play first base. from all accounts he put in the time and worked his ass off to play the position. he never complained once and did (IMO) a great job. he came back this spring and was asked to play DH. he never complained once. don't let the dreadlocks sway you. it's OK. they don't mean he isn't "trying".

the called strike on the first pitch was high. it put him at a yuuuuge disadvantage. he swung at the next 2 pitches because of it. both which were also high out of the zone. that was why he gave the look. chapman got away with that pitch and they both knew it.

holt had a pretty big base running play in last nights game. moving up on that 58 foot breaking ball was Yuuuuge. team is 13-8 in games holt has started.

Cashman should have planned better. CC is 100 years old and has had knee issues / injury issues the past few seasons. Tanaka was a blinking red light as well as his elbow should have been TJ'd a year ago.

good look. i can start an hour earlier tonight. i have all the games set to record via Directv so i can FF through the commercials, mound visits, etc.. I usually start a game at 8:30 and finish about the same time the game ends in real life. -
this reed guy cant handle the Boston pressure. looks to be a chocker like price. Mr. Farrell - i only want to see Reed in blowout games for the foreseeable future. thank you.

i feel you. but i still say pitching and defense means the most. if mookie makes a fairly routine catch, devers HR isn't critical.
