i like our hitters vs either of the 2 possible ALDS opponents. i am not afraid of either pitching staff. i believe our offense goes off vs either of them. i believe we will struggle more on offense in the ALCS vs either of the 2 possible contenders. they have + arms that can shut us down. in that scenario i would like to have Sale for 1, 4, 7.

yeah and then win the world series carrying the Sox on his back. told the terrorists they can f*** off. what did the yankees do when the towers got taken out? lose on a walkoff against an expansion team from arizona. no guts. no balls. maybe jeter should have grabbed a mic and dropped an F bomb. nah...just walk us off and have a parade......lol.

Sale could throw 0 pitches in teh ALDS and if we face the yankees we will still advance. thats how much better we are. if its oakland? more competitive but we still advance. the loss of Sale will be felt more in ALCS (if he's lost).

Sale is fine. They saved enough bullets in his arm for a nice October run. Good job by Cora managing his innings this season.

I agree with both sides of this. But lean towards starting devers as it’s not like we have brooks Robinson sitting on the bench for 3rd base defense. SSS alert....devers was pretty good in postseason pressure last year.

to me...and this is just me.....my opinion....an All Star/MVP caliber "everyday" player has waaaaaaaaaaay more impact over the course of a season than a "lights out" closer does. again...just my opinion. also....i believe in lineup protection so to me....and again...just me....JDM is a YUUUUUUUUGE reason why we win the division this year. a year the MFY might very well finish with 100 wins....

Hey now! I believe myself! I think.... Seriously- how many more blown saves would an average closer have than kimbrel had this season? 3? 5? Even if it’s 8 we still win the division. Kimbrel has had 0 influence on our outcome this season (regular). If he is 2007 papelbon this offseason then he gets a couple more million per on his next contract from not the Sox....

we will win the ALE by double digits. Joe Schmoe could be our closer and we still win the division. Kimbrel is not as important to our 2018 season as some are stating. with a s***** closer we still win the division by a handful....
