    enjoy your playin game. playin = trying to get into the playoffs. i could give a rats ass what MLB says. playoffs start with the division series.

    for 80 years the Yankees were the hammer and the Sox the nail. then 2004 happened. ever since then the Sox have been the hammer and the Yankees the nail. its easy to see....Yankees fans now say what Sox fans used to say "wait until next year!; "our farm is better!"; "we won WS before!". Red Sox = Hammer Yankees = Nail i will let you know when/if this changes.....

    Heads up for the stat heads. ESPN 2 is showing a statcast of the Cubs vs Rockies game. For those that haven’t seen one before it really is pretty cool. Plus the announcers are better (no scumbag a rod).

    I was at games 3 & 4 of that series. it was an amazing experience that i will never forget. Game 3 trot nixon walkoff in extras and game 4 Manny 1st to home on an 8th inning gapper by ortiz. Fenway was bonkers.

    this begs the question...is doing this considered "gamesmanship" or is it "cheating"? if this was football + Patriots it would be deemed "cheating". but i am curious what my fellow TS posters think of reporting a LH reliever as SP and then game time after lineups are turned in pulling him for a RH SP. i vote that's cheating.

    if it is the yankees, none of their starters worry me. we will hit any of them. i hope CC starts so we can bunt on his fat ass over and over and over again. pitching against us will not be a factor until the ALCS....

    why not just have our starters...you know....start? go as far as they can? then bring in Wright? yes, Wright for the most part has been a "starter". but he has been used as a relief pitcher since his latest DL stint. so he is somewhat accustomed to...not starting. why force our Starters to change their habits come playoff time? it's not like we are coming off a 50 win season using our starters as....starters. also, if we are going to change the wheel and actually have a "reliever" game in the postseason and have wright start...i would prefer it to be for the other 3 starters not name Chris Sale.

    also...there is 0% chance that wright starts on Friday. if Sale gets hit by a Mack truck Friday morning...Price would start game 1.

    so you have more faith in Wright then Sale? you think Wright is our ACE? you think there is a better chance of Sale walking a couple batters early then Wright walking a couple batters early? if you said YES to any of these 3 questions i would be shocked.....

    he's only had 30 starts once in his career. this is a big NO for me to give anything over 1 year contract. someone will give him 2+. would rather take a flier on Clay for minimum $$$.

    Well boys & girls...we have done it. for the 3rd year in the row we are ALE Division Champs. Now is when the real fun begins. 11 Wins. that is all we need to have a Parade. Opponent TBD between Oakland and NYY on Wednesday night. Who do we prefer? A 17 inning game would be nice. We have Sale going in Game 1 vs the #2 for our opponent. I like our chances. I am of the belief that Sale is fine and has been holding back his past few starts. Saving those bullets for October baseball. LETS GO SOX!
