  1. Yeah, Ian Browne considers Tillman an ace. I'm not so sure about that.
  2. Kelly didn't pitch bad, he just ran into a lot of bad luck bs after the 2nd out. It happens, and I'm glad Farrell went with Kimbrel to stop the bleeding. Any manager would've done the same.
  3. I agree, there's plenty of time left yet. I'm usually pretty patient and hopeful within reason. I was pretty hopeful about Price coming back strong and that seems to have turned out well judging by last night. We start playing better within our division I'll be happy. If we win today vs the O's, we'll be 6-7 vs them and hopefully we'll be a better team next time we face them (end of August?). Last season we were 11-8 (RS: 102 RA: 82) against the O's and I hope we keep it close to that and maybe beat the hell out of another AL east foe to make up the difference if need be. I do feel like today is a must win day though.
  4. We were in desperate need of an insurance run.
  5. Ha! On a severed limb? no thanks.LOL
  6. I think everyone, including myself, are just really f***ing tired of losing to the O's this season. Also, we're 11-13 vs AL East opponents right now. Not great.
  7. It's just that I question wasting an out to move a runner over who is already in scoring position. This year in particular, if we have a runner on 1B, a sac bunt I can tolerate to avoid the double play that has plagued us. One guy on, on 2B, isn't a double play situation... but it worked out so who am i to complain.
  8. A productive Smith and/or Thornburg and maybe they go after a hitter at the deadline instead of a reliever ( I initially thought they'd go after RP ). Not sure where they stand w/ the LT limit, but maybe they can address something on the offense side of things?
  9. XB is giving me fits leading on 1B. Looks like he's going to get picked. I wish he got lower back to the bag
  10. I'm not a huge fan of bunting to move the runner on 2B over to 3B but it worked out here
  11. oh yeah, bad throw no doubt.
  12. sweet. We haven;t been winning those this season even when we should
  13. Bundy's their best SP, 2 runs ain't bad against him. We'll definitely see their BP tonight and I hope we can break through with some more runs then.
  14. Ha!! I know, that's what I'm looking at too
  15. Bundy 85 pitches thru 4 innings
  16. HanRam! Hopefully he can start to do more of that
  17. Still a good AB by Moreland there
  18. Price looking like himself so far.
  19. Not magically improve, but career norms wouldn't be considered magic i don't think.
  20. "Nobody is going to convince me JBJ isn't one of baseballs best fielding CF'ers." He IS great and that's all we need to be concerned about pertaining to the value he provides our team. We don't have to trade for or go out and sign someone from the FA market to get the kind of elite defense he provides. He's making plays only 17% of MLB CFers make. Period. Whether he's #1 or #3 or #5 in league, I won't argue too much about that. I know he's a top 5 CFer or better on any given night. I've seen enough from JBJ to know that if anything gets past him, I'm either blaming our pitcher or simply tipping my cap to the opposing batter.
  21. Farrell could always move him up in the order ( ... like lead-off)
  22. I'd hope that 3B winds-up being what Remy said last night. Pablo for the early portion of most games and then bring in Marrero as the defensive replacement later on. Maybe both get 2 ABs a game. As far as who gets sent down... Boyer? idk
