No kidding? I absolutely did not know that.
  2. Maxbialystock
Yes, but he's still our terrible guy.
  3. Maxbialystock
Lotsa pitchers do that well. Just not ours. Porcello is struggling this year precisely because he can't throw a good pitch low. He's fine bouncing one in there.

    I'm also bald and bitter.
  5. Maxbialystock
    Read my mind.

Who is that long haired hippie standing on 1b with our first hit? Come on Mookie. Oh that darn slider decimates him. Full credit for hitting the fastball hard,
  7. Maxbialystock
Bipolar. Mostly delighted last night, bitter today. The one really good thing about Pom is that he does bear down in the crunch. The problem is he keeps getting crunches.
  8. Maxbialystock
Good call by the 1b ump, and we sure needed it. By far Pom's best inning, and he is still 63 pitches for 3 innings.
  9. Maxbialystock
    Exactly.

I don't know about Tanaka, but I can say the day game so far is bothering the heck out of me.
  11. Maxbialystock
    Same old JBJ. Nice.
  12. Maxbialystock
Got him on the splitter, otherwise a good at bat by Lin. After 3, Tanaka looks like one of those Eliot Ness guys.
  13. Maxbialystock
We are seeing right now why I think Fister is better than Pom, who seems to see no positive benefit in short innings. Or maybe he just doesn't have his control today. Tanaka sure does.
  14. Maxbialystock
Too much like Pom's last start.
  15. Maxbialystock
    Terrible play by Devers.
  16. Maxbialystock
Knuckle curve less effective when he keeps throwing it in the middle.
  17. Maxbialystock
Note JBJ backing up Nunez on a very easy pop up. The Sox outfield know the issue.
  18. Maxbialystock
But that 90 mph fastball is not so nice. Inside corner, but up and hittable.
  19. Maxbialystock
That Pom curve is so nice.
  20. Maxbialystock
Wow. Vazquez K's on a straight fast ball right down the middle which was set up by the pitches before.
  21. Maxbialystock
Moreland wanted the out and it was a split second decision which I refuse to second guess. Coming off the bag guarantees a long inning for Pom, who trends that way anyway.
  22. Maxbialystock
Nice swing by Ramirez on that slider a little up.
  23. Maxbialystock
Not sloppy at all. Great grab, bad throw. From 3b that can happen.
  24. Maxbialystock
    True
  25. Maxbialystock
Well, except for Beni of course. He is out of control still making those rookie mistakes.
