Yoshida is being paid a lot of money to be a bonafide 5 no-tool player. He can't hit, hit with power, field, throw, or run.

Actually, the absence of Devers has made the Sox a better team.

The Sox runs scored are 4th best in MLB. Ditto their OPS. And Story is having his best season ever for the Sox.

Utility player? He has the highest OPS on the team, at least temporarily--.910. Grissom is competing with Gonzalez because both play 2b and both are righty bats.

4 of May's 6 pitches to Yaz were in almost exactly the same spot. After Yaz, a better mix. His cutter sucks, but his curve and 4 seamer are OK.

It's a gift because we know how focused Cora is during games. A very distant relative of mine was like that.

Just a reminder that the paying fans just might like these 2025 Sox. All 3 games in the Dodgers series were over 36K. Now both Royals games have been over 37K.

For crying out loud. Grissom and Gonzalez both play 2b and both are righty hitters--and Gonzalez is a much better hitter than Grissom. So there is absolutely no need short of injury to have Grissom as backup. Hamilton, on the other hand,, is better defensively than either and a better baserunner. Plus he can back up SS. The Sox owe Grissom nothing.
