  1. Not nice. Absolutely amazing.
  2. Agree. Heck, Richards was a better choice to get that last out.
  3. One thing does seem apparent. The Jays bullpen is much better than ours. They pitched tough tonight when they were way behind and last night when they were way ahead. Andriese and now Whitlock were/are the exact opposite.
  4. Right down the middle and Devers can't hit it, so of course he then swings at the next pitch a mile above the strike zone.
  5. I don't know who to blame, Whitlock or Vazquez, but that ground out was the first low pitch he threw in the 7th.
  6. Now it's 6-3 and we're just in the 7th inning.
  7. Whitlock is just one of many Sox pitchers who either can't or won't keep the ball down.
  8. Actually, I disagree. I think you can see it's good while the pitcher is working. You can see where he's throwing it, what kind of break the ball has, and what effect that is having on the hitters. Richards was not completely on tonight--4 walks and 7 hits--but those two K's in the 7th were dazzling.
  9. Pivetta, yes. Richards to me is still a little scary.
  10. Jays bullpen has been tuff, tuff, tuff.
  11. 72 pitches so far, but can he go six?
  12. Richards seem to be coming apart at the seams.
  13. my, my. speak of the devil.
  14. Boy, is it. And a killer when we go GIDP.
  15. Great job, Richards. I take back all the horrible things I almost said about you (but didn't).
  16. Whoops. Stripling is out after 76 pitches and a double that definitely should have been caught. Fine with me. The combo of that knuckle curve and fast ball was working.
  17. And he is throwing it a lot, so much so his "highest spin rate in MLB" curve ball has been a waste pitch.
  18. Richards' fast ball sure looks like a cut fastball.
  19. Wake up, shmuck! They are playing this game in Florida. Oh, my.
  20. Fast ball right down the middle and Gonzalez hits an easy grounder.
  21. Stripling curve ball looking better, but still low.
  22. Looking back, I gotta thank Cora for going with Andriese for the last 3 innings last night. Saved the rest of the bullpen while keeping him off the mount for up to a week. Smart.
  23. Fasten your seat belts, this could be a bumpy night. Unless, of course, the Jays go the ever popular GIDP route.
