    That's a little better, but I'm not a fan of trading any of the Sox top four relievers, while they are still in contention. Punching a hole in the bullpen to get a bat is not smart, IMO.

    Exactly. Occasionally, a bullpen will show up in the playoffs and pitch beyond what they've shown in the regular season. But, that doesn't happen often. I would not want to go into the playoffs with only Kelly, Barnes and Hembree.

    The only problem with that is a weak bullpen in the playoffs is an early ticket out.

    True, but I hope they don't let Mookie play prematurely. Beni, Xander and Moreland should be able to pick up the slack for a short time. Aside from the Seattle series, the next two weeks are again sub-par teams.

    They are going to have to decide what to do with JD Martinez at the end of '19 too. Anyone think he wont opt out, after the way he's been crushing the ball? Let's hope the FA market is still depressed then.

    There's a wide range when it comes to "strains". Depends on how severe it was, and how fast it can heal,I guess. I'm nor sure I buy that Mookie is going to beat himself up like Pedrioia has. Aside from a possible collision with a wall or awkward dive, I don't see him throwing himself around like Pedrioa. If I see him starting to dive into first base, i might change my mind.

    Yup, as Kimmi pointed out, the team is still rolling and they've got games with mediocre/bad teams for the next week or so. He deserves to work out his problems until at least the end of the month.
