Well, our pitching wasnt suppose to be anything special this year. That is, our starting pitching.

True, but if dempster performs well in his next 4 or so starts before butch return, and dubront continues to slide, what then? We will just have to wait and see.

On a side note, eck did a great job being the color commnpentator, as always. If remdawg cant be the broacaster for now, i have no problem with eck being up there.

Red sox are pretty much middle of the pack in the al vs lefties. Not bad, but not terrible. Plus, sox usually play very tough lefties and when you account only 25 percent of the pitching populace are south paws, they do get a lot of tough lefties. They did blow up joe saunders, who is a lefty, but isnt great.

Pettite hasnt been great this season, but you still gotta admit, most of the lefties he have played and struggled against are just really good pitchers and the sox never saw oberholtzer before. Andy has been nasty tonight. They certainly are not the best at hitting lefties, but a lot of the lefties they have struggled against were just flat out good pitchers.

Butch was so awesome cause hed only let up at most 2 runs and would go 7 innings or more many times this year. We need that.
