  1. We have to score at least two here, or we might not get another good shot to score.
  2. Yup, that was bad, especially because there starters werent great besides tillman. If you look at this series, we beat up santana , hit well off of guthrie, but got stymied by stupid bruce chen. The pitching just has been bad this series overall.
  3. Hahhaha i make the most typo's on this forum usually.
  4. Besides the k papi has been hitting the ball the last two games. Theyll start to fall sooner or later.i mean, how could papi continue to hit better than 330 on the season?
  5. The only thing about toronto is that they could potentially pull together a good series against us. I pray they stay cool when we play em.
  6. Lets just get the f*** out of kc. Its been a tough going all four days.
  7. If he doesnt require xander, they would defintely have to consider it. I mean, hes younger than will middlebrooks and has incredible pop. Who is gonna provide pop from the right side on this team and even legitimate power in that regard when papi is gone?
  8. Ya defintely, thats 100 percent right. I have no problem giving up garin, but i have been very impressed with ranaudo. With the state of the marlins now, if they have to give up a big piece, theyre gonna want 4 legitimate future starters in return. I hope if he did come here though, his power numbers wouldn't deter like some people recently( ie.. Mike napoli and adrian gonzalez).
  9. Also, when papis power dwindles away as he ages, who is going to compensate for it? Will WMB?Stanton's a right handed, young, power hitter who iif is healthy, we should consider pursuing,
  10. What happens if we kept jacoby? We wouldnt need jb jr. Call me crazy, but I like Stanton a lot.
  11. Giancarlos stats may look down this year, but his nagging injury has a lot to do with it. He hit 37 hrs in only 123 games last year. Thats tremendous pop.
  12. If he doesnt require xander, why not? We cant just hoard prospects down there. Giancarlo Stanton has plus plus power.
  13. Its just unfortunate with all these injuries cause the sox could have had a koji, miller, tazawa, bailey, breslow, and even hanrahan bull pen ( idk if we would have pursued matt thornton if we didnt have the injuries). That would certainly be a very playoff worthy bull pen.
  14. But if we get giancarlo stanton by giving up a package of prospects, we wouldnt need choo. If not, im all in for getting choo next year.
  15. I like the acquisitions you included in choo and kendrys morales and also the resigning of ellsbury. However, joel hanrahan would never take league minimum. He would walk if we offered him that. And I hope we could sign ellsbury for that little of an amount.
  16. Tazawa and breslow have been awesome this year, while koji has just been out of his mind good with his crazy good splitter as he has the lowest era in the american league among qualified relievers. All of them are in the top 16 among reliever era in the al and are the heart and soul of the sox pen. With matt thornton, andrew bailey, and andrew miller all out with injuries(matt not out for the rest of the season like the other two), who would you like to see develope into another great reliever option for the sox and who would you like them to aquire to help lighten the load for breslow and taz as the season progresses?
  17. I mean when the sox traded breslow for albers last year, I thought that it was pretty much just a kind of even swap, as albers absolutely dominated for us last year. But now, since bres is pitching better than albers now, im really liking that trade.
  18. I find it very intereting at how awesome breslow, tazawa, and koji have been. Koji has the best era among al qualified relievers and breslow and tazawa are also within the top 16 in the al for reliever era.
  19. According to a sabermetric function, the sox have a 92.5 percent chance of making the playoffs and are expected to end the season with 97 wins.
  20. Now we got 3 games over those s***** rays.
  21. That splitter just completely f***s up hitters.
  22. I was just checking back at clay's awesome stats this year. Didnt let up a single earned run in 4 of his 12 starts. Plus, let up 2 runs or less in all of his games cept one where he allowed four. Really missing that.
  23. Ya. Its really just taz, breslow, and uehara we can trust.
