  1. I also have no desire to watch the Seadogs. I’ll leave that to fans like MVP who has no life besides baseball.
  2. Im in California. I wouldn’t have a clue how to even find their games. I doubt they’re available anywhere here.
  3. Turns out the Flops have THE highest chase rate in baseball. The Dodgers have the lowest. At least from what I can find. I looked it up but I can’t paste it here for some reason.
  4. Abreu Ks on a ball nearly in the dirt. There have to be stats listing which teams swing most at balls out of the zone. Seems like the Flops do it more than most.
  5. I’m sure they’ll be fine . It’s still the same game. But you do get use to the same voices to an extent.
  6. Try to keep it civil. Name calling is uncalled for. And I’m not going anywhere. You guys need my “genius” insights 😉
  7. Exactly Just SS brought it up. It’s fun to play with this stuff but the truth is none of us were involved.
  8. You have no idea if the Twins were demanding Anthony. No one does. Pure mindless conjecture on your part. No doubt they would have been thrilled to make that swap but the fact is that no one knows what the details of those discussions were except the participants. Whatever Breslow offered he failed to do his job. The Flops over the past several years have followed that trajectory-failing to do their jobs. But sure….guess away!
  9. Without Judge the Yankmees are a very ordinary team.
  10. I very much doubt that May will be an improvement over Dobbins/Fitts. We needed a Ferrari and Breslow got us a Ford.
  11. A #2 starter was what we needed. Breslow failed. Now you can continue to try to put lipstick on a pig but you can’t change the facts. It’s still a pig. The best the mindlessly optimistic can hope for now is that it doesn’t matter that he failed to do his job.
  12. He could, but I certainly wouldn’t count on it based on his year to date performance. And while you can always improve areas of strength (like our bullpen) the most impactful way to improve the team is to address the weaknesses. That wasn’t done.
  13. It is. But the priorities I listed were higher in view of the fact that the best pen in the AL is in Boston.
  14. Yup. Matz has looked good so far-in all of two innings. But a RP wasn’t high on our needs list was it. We already had the best bullpen in the league. A #2 SP, a RHH 1B, and a backup catcher were higher priorities. Breslow just picked the low hanging fruit. I think all REAL Flops fans were disappointed.
  15. Now watch: May will turn it around and give the team several good quality starts and surprise everyone. Baseball is a funny game. Expect the unexpected.
  16. My guess is that Breslow took his marching orders from Henry and as a result he basically did nothing to improve the club, probably because Henry told him to be conservative. This sort of crap generally flows DOWNHILL.
  17. I think Breslow scraped the bottom of the barrel to get the M&M twins because had he not done that he would have been accused of doing absolutely NOTHING-which is pretty much what he did anyway. The announcers last night stated, like most Sox fans, that they were "disappointed" by the TD results. Wonder if they will still be announcing.......or if Henry will fire them.
  18. Exactly! Anyone who takes sports too seriously (ANY aspect of sports) has his or her priorities misplaced.
  19. In other words you finally recognize the need for me and people like me! Good start. Every forum deserves a resident genius 😉
  20. Glad you appreciate the humor! Perhaps if some others here saw it that way they wouldn’t get so stressed out.
