  1. See? 2-0 now I can’t even watch these bums anymore. They absolutely SUCK! Is BresLOW still being paid by the FLOPS?
  2. Wait….only I can declare the game over. It’s in my job description.
  3. 2-1. Game over. This team stinks. I can’t even watch them much anymore.
  4. I don’t really follow the rosters of the other teams. I look at the standings and I see that once again we are in last place. It’s unacceptable
  5. Enough to play in October? No. That isn’t in our future. I believe that the reasons are 1. Lack of talent offensively 2. A demoralized roster who know exactly what the team needed to be good, resulting in a general apathy and underperformance. In that order.
  6. I do. Most of them will probably gravitate towards their performance that they have had over the past few years. Some will over perform, some will underperform. But I expect they will fit under a bell curve for the most part.
  7. Like many of the FLOPS players I expect him to end the season somewhere near where he ended up the past few years. It didn’t have to be Suarez. There were many options to obtain a couple of talented players. As far as I can see the only guys with talent we got was Contreras and Ranger. As you know we needed a more offense and help in the pen. We didn’t get them, and the train wreck that is the 2026 flops is the result.
  8. Pretty funny. I wrote that Suarez OPS+ was OVER 100 the past three years. As you know, OPS+ of 100 is average. So Suarez has a good track record of being an ABOVE average with a bat. And Yoshida has excelled for 40 games. Bully for him! It doesn't have to be him who gets released. We could trade an OF (Duran) for prospects to make room for Alonso and Contreras to be on the same team. I am sure they could figure it out-if Henry wasn't so CHEAP.
  9. Sure! Marte or Paredes would have been fine too! But you are wrong about Suarez hitting. He has an OPS+ over 100 pretty consistently-in 23/24/25. We need players who can hit, preferably RHH. But Henry was too cheap to get him. We got a cheap bum instead.
  10. He played 3B for a long time and could easily have gone back there. Instead we have a first class bum there. Correction: he is STILL a 3B man. He was available. “ Current Position and Role (2026 Season) Primary Position: Third Base (3B). Secondary Roles: Designated Hitter (DH) and First Base (1B).”
  11. Suarez plays 3B. He was available for the right price. Alonso was available. He plays 1B. We have a 2B man already. With Suarez, Alonso, Contreras, and Ranger we would have been playing in October. But the signed bums because Henry is a cheapskate.
  12. E Suarez was available but too expensive for our cheapskate owner.
  13. Your memory is fine. But you are confused. I said it’s too late for the FLOPS this year but I never said that isn’t also true of other TEAMS. Suarez and Bichette aren’t TEAMS last I checked
  14. The FO absolutely doesn't have to do what the fans want. Why on earth would you even think that. And why would you think that fans always want a HR hitter? It depends on our needs. Sometimes its pitching; sometimes its depth at a position; sometimes its a HR hitter. Your approach is simplistic.
  15. Are Alonso and Bichette "other teams"? Thats what Brady misquoted me as saying. I referred to PLAYERS, not teams. It IS already too late for the FLOPS...and for other teams.
  16. You are satisfied with "league average". I am not. If we didn't already have a bunch of black holes in the lineup it would be fine if Rafaela were league average. But we do..........
  17. I hope I’m wrong about this but I expect that this flash in the pan that Rafaela has shown us will melt into the usual incompetence with a bat in his hands by September at the latest.
  18. Show me where I said it’s “stil early for other teams”-or admit you made it up.
  19. That is THE issue. The cheapskate owner tried to build a team on the cheap-and the current version of the FLOPS is a testament to that failure.
  20. How many times do I need to write the same explanation??? It isn't a case of Alonso OR Contreras. Its a case of Alonso AND Contreras. Yes, that means we would have to dump someone, likely Yoshida. But we would be a much better team that way.
  21. Every player who takes up a roster spot is taking it in place of another player. In the case of Gaspar, IKF, and the bum Durbin their roster spots could have been used by Schwarber, Alonso, Bregman, or Bichette. Not all of them, obviously, but its pretty clear to anyone who thinks about this rationally that we signed bums to be on our roster rather than more talented and MORE EXPENSIVE players. THAT is a fact.
  22. I expect players like Schwarber, Bichette, and Alonso will come somewhere close to their career averages, especially their averages over the past three years or so. While I am pleased that Rafaela seems to have improved I am in a wait and see mode with him. I expect that as the season progresses he will lose the shine he has now. The trio of BUMS we signed instead of signing more expensive more talented players will continue to SUCK. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that line of thinking. It is totall rational.
