    Nope. Seattle has the next to the lowest OPS in the AL, last I checked. And Beckett does not want to face the fans' reaction if he lays another egg. I think he will do fine tomorrow. Its the consistency of his effort that I am concerned about.

    You got what right? As of right now our pitching is still in 13th place in the AL, and we are still in last place. So far, overall, the team is performing WORSE than any of the "realists" here could have imagined.

    I don't think that the concerns about our pitching were limited to Doubront and Bard. As I recall, there were many discussions about them, for sure, as well as concerns about the bullpen. Bard and Doubront were unknowns; hence the concern. However, there were also lots of discussions about how our top three SP HAD TO PITCH WELL and be free of injury for the team to be successful. I think the realists got it right.

    Lets wait until we are in playoff contention. Then I will gladly wear egg and eat crow. Right now we have won two games in a row. We need to win a lot more before anyone has a right to say "I told you so".

    He will fit right in with the other stars of his stature on the team: Saltalamachia, McDonald, Punto....oh wait: those guys play in the major leagues. The Podfather (his actual nickname) plays in AAA ball. Why bother?
